Preview — Riverdale Season 3 Episode 9: Chapter Forty-Four: No Exit

On Riverdale Season 3 Episode 9, “Chapter Forty-Four: No Exit,” the residents of Riverdale deal with being under Hiram’s thumb. Veronica works to save the speakeasy. Betty and the other former residents of the Sisters of Quiet Mercy adjust to life on the outside.

With the town of Riverdale under quarantine and cut off from the rest of the world, Hiram’s quest to secure his kingdom appears to be complete. But Hiram’s determination to push Veronica back into the family business could lead to his undoing.

Betty may be free from the Sisters of Quiet Mercy (or is it misery?) — ground zero for Fizzle Rock trial tests — but she’s got her hands full with the other escapees. 

Jughead reunites with the Serpents who have fallen apart during the absence of their fearless leader.

Episode description: With Riverdale in disarray following Hiram’s takeover, Veronica leads the charge against her father after he takes aim at La Bonne Nuit. Meanwhile, as Betty reluctantly houses the group of patients who escaped from the Sisters of Quiet Mercy, Jughead confronts a group of desperate Serpents who have resorted to drastic measures to make ends meet. Finally, Archie is forced to face his demons.
