Elias Harger Previews ‘Fuller House’ Season 4 [Exclusive Interview]

Fuller House, Interviews

For Elias Harger, his role on Fuller House is much like his real life, fun and exciting, but totally average.

I recently had the opportunity to chat with the young breakout star about the upcoming fourth season of the Netflix series, and he was more than happy to dish a little information about what we can expect from our favorite Fuller family in Season 4.

“There is going to be a special guest that everyone will be excited to see,” Harger hinted.

He was also able to give some unexpected information about Season 4.

“This season they bring up a little bit about Max’s dad, which is something they haven’t really explored yet.”

Max’s dad has been deceased since before the show started. That’s been referenced all along, but the main focus of the show has been on the Fuller, Tanner, and Gibbler families learning how to live together under one roof.

Now, in Season 4, that dynamic is going to change a bit due to a new arrival for Stephanie via surrogate Kimmy Gibbler.

“They’re a family. One more person isn’t going to change that,” Harger said. He had a few insights to share about how all of this would change the relationship between Stephanie and Kimmy, saying “The journey makes them grow closer.”

Harger also wanted to assure everyone that “The She-Wolf Pack is never going to die.”

Harger works alongside many talented faces, many of whom were in the original series, Full House.

“I like everyone, but if I had to choose a favorite [to work with] it would be Juan Pablo Di Pace. Our scenes are always fun. The fans really seem to like it too.” Harger stated.

Harger recalled that famous “bacon wrapped bacon” scene from Fuller House Season 2 Episode 5, “Doggy Daddy,” laughing about how funny Di Pace makes every scene.

“I just LOVE bacon.” Harger added, “Much like Max.”

Harger had quite a bit to say about how he relates to Max as well. “We definitely carry the same sense of humor. I also care about my family and carry the same sense of character, much like Max. I also love to read, which I think Max does too. Just look at his space-themed room.”

Harger also mentioned that he, like Max, has two siblings. However, unlike Max, he isn’t the middle child. He’s the oldest.

“When I’m the oldest I get to boss my siblings around. As the middle child, I get bossed around. I prefer my side of the story, instead of Max’s.”

One memorable scene for Harger from the most recent season was roller coaster scene for Fuller House Season 3 Episode 11, “Troller Coaster.” He even gave some behind the scenes knowledge of just how scenes like that are filmed.

“We had a little cart in the studio in front of a green screen with industrial-sized fans. The cart would only move a little bit.” Harger explained.

Harger’s gotten to do a lot of interesting things with Max on the show so far, but he does have ideas of other stories he might be interested in seeing explored. “We could see Max getting bullied, and the family works together to help him through that,” he considered. Harger also thinks it would be interesting to see Max have an identity crisis. “Much like we sort of saw with him trying to be a cool kid, but on a bigger scale. He could fail and then the family would solve it with a nice big family talk.”

Of course, in addition to acting, Harger also has to balance his schoolwork.

“We have an onset teacher. There is a trailer that is our classroom. The show hires a teacher for us and we learn right there on set,” Harger said. “When the show first started, I was going to a campus school, but then I started getting home-schooled. When I was on a campus it was so different from set school. Now that I’m home-schooled it’s not much different.”

Harger was even eager to talk about what he was currently learning in school that was most exciting to him, “Volcanoes.”

“We built an island, and then put a volcano on it. Then we surrounded the volcano with dinosaurs and trees. Then we blew it up,” he laughed.

Be sure to catch Elias Harger on Fuller House when it returns for Season 4 this Friday, December 14th, on Netflix.
