Wynonna Earp Review: Undo It (Season 3 Episode 9)
Wynonna Earp Season 3 Episode 9, “Undo It,” slows things down as Wynonna is forced to endure Bulshar’s brand of psychological torture.
Bulshar definitely knows how to craft some wicked torture games, and they are strong enough to break the best of them, just ask Bobo.
Bobo is a force to be reckoned with, as Season 1 proved, so the fact that he admits to giving up and tells Wynonna that she will give up too is a big deal. It takes a lot to break Bobo, but Bulshar did it.
Wynonna does a great job of staying strong, but it was only a matter of time before she broke.
Wynonna: I’m like metal. The more you hit it, the stronger it gets. And I’m shiny and dense. Holy crap! I did learn stuff in high school.
It’s heartbreaking to watch Wynonna lose her will to keep going. She starts off as her normal, plucky self, but Bulshar’s tricks wear her down. How can you blame her after battling all the way to the end, thinking she has won, and then being forced to realize it was all a trick?
Wynonna gives up peacemaker to save her sister, to save her friends. There’s no shame to being beaten, and it definitely doesn’t mean the fight is over.
The bright side of all of this torture is that Wynonna and Doc are in a better place. They aren’t bickering anymore, at least not about the vampire thing. It’s too soon to tell if Doc is going to be upset over Wynonna giving up peacemaker.

This video game torture is a great way to move past the Wynonna and Doc angst. There’s been way too much of it this season.
A plus side to the whole torture thing is that we learn a bit more about what’s going on, Garden of Eden-wise. Peacemaker is the key to entering the garden.
This adds a whole new layer to the curse that is too difficult to decipher at this moment. It’s fascinating how intertwined Bulshar’s plan and the Earp curse is.
Jeremy: You carry hatchets in your backpack?
Nicole: This is Purgatory, Jeremy. I carry a lot of shit in my backpack.
Now, we have to figure out what’s going on with the stairs. It would be interesting if Wynonna is right and only the pure can see them.
There’s a lot to learn about Bulshar’s plan, and so it’s a relief that we are continuing to get answers. We still have a ton of questions, but at least the answers are trickling in. Let’s hope this trend continues.
Also, how is Bulshar’s ring actually Julian’s ring? WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?!

Stray thoughts:
- Mercedes, it is damn good to see you.
- Also, hello angelic powers! Time to put that ring to good use, Waverly!
- Is anyone else excited to see more of Bobo working with the team?
- I’d love to see what else Nicole keeps in her backpack.
