Killjoys Review: Bro-d Trip (Season 4 Episode 3)
Killjoys Season 4 Episode 3, “Bro-d Trip,” reveals just how much of a dick Hullen!Johnny truly is.
As much as we hope Johnny will pull through and overpower the Hullen dickishness, it’s better that he doesn’t.
If Johnny could get through and break free of the plasma’s hold, then why haven’t any other Hullen we’ve encountered done the same? It would have weakened the threat of the Hullen if it was that simple.

As painful as it is to see our lovable Johnny turn into a complete jackass, it had to happen. It gives us a first-hand look at how the plasma can warp someone.
We do see Johnny fight, however. It isn’t anything obvious as Johnny breaking through and warning D’av or trying to sabotage Hullen!Johnny’s plans. It’s through conversations with Dutch.
It’s fitting that our Johnny manifests as Dutch. She’s his partner, his heart. She grounds him.
Hullen!Johnny: I get you’re not a super fan of Hullen!Johnny, but once you get to know me, you won’t even miss that heart on his sleeve whingebag.
Dutch: Yes, I will because he’s my whingebag.
Dutch’s presence also gives us a taste of that Johnny and Dutch dynamic that we’ve been missing, even though it’s not really Dutch.
Those conversations prove that our Johnny is still in there somewhere, even though Hullen!Johnny has control of the reigns. It’s not the most obvious sign that our Johnny’s still there, but it highlights Johnny and Dutch’s partnership.
In addition to fighting with Dutch/our Johnny, Hullen!Johnny does a lot of bickering with D’av, which is delightful.

Johnny and D’av always have some fun banter and snark, but Hullen!Johnny kicks it up a notch. He’s nothing but sass.
This is an unusual and entertaining way to spend some time with the Jaqobis brothers
Thankfully, D’av’s not an idiot. He grows more and more distrusting of Hullen!Johnny. It’s an intriguing new dynamic to explore between the brothers.
Pree: New Lucy is a no mess bitch.
Meanwhile, Delle Seyah is being an absolute badass while also imparting some motherly wisdom. This is the perfect way to show how motherhood and being pregnant is affecting Delle Seyah.
She’s not becoming weak or dependent on other people to help her as she waddles around, complaining about her pregnancy-related pain.
Delle Seyah knows this is what people expect when, so she has used those expectations to her advantage. She feigns meekness to give her an element of surprise when she kicks some ass.
Pree: So, what do we do with this?
Delle Seyah: You take this with you because she nearly destroyed a galaxy and needs a shower and a nap.
Pree: Do not try me on for size because this bitch be deputized.
She continues to be delightful and fun to watch.
Delle Seyah is quickly becoming my favorite character. Throwing her into the mix with the Jaqobis has proven to be a very smart move and a great way to shake everything up.
I imagine that we will have even more fun in store as Delle Seyah joins up with the rest of Team Awesome Force and delivers her alien child. You know that’s going to be a good time.

Her brief interaction with Pree proves that there’s more fun to come. How great is it that Pree and Pip were deputized?
Dutch, you have fantastic timing, and you really know how to make an entrance. She’s not doing too great, but I’m just happy to have her out of the green and reunited with everyone.
Team Awesome Force is back!
