Grey’s Anatomy: Jeff Perry Returning for Season 15
Papa Grey is making the trip back to Grey Sloan!
According to EW, Jeff Perry is returning to Grey’s Anatomy for its upcoming 15th season as Thatcher Grey. Coincidentally, the news comes shortly have we discussed why it’s about time Meredith Grey reunite with her father.
Not much is known about the circumstances of Thatcher’s upcoming appearance, so it could be anything from a happy reunion to a medical crisis because this is Grey’s Anatomy after all.
Perry made his debut duringGrey’s Anatomy Season 2 Episode 18, “Yesterday,” which was a huge episode for the series. Not only did viewers meet Thatcher for the first time, but also Mark Sloan made his first appearance and it ended with Meredith and George O’Malley slept together.
Over the next several seasons, Meredith and Thatcher struggled to build a relationship and mend the pain from past events, but the introduction of Lexie Grey changed their dynamic. She became a bridge between the two until Perry’s last appearance in Season 7.
While Perry left Seattle, he certainly did not leave Shondaland. He played Cyrus Beene on Scandal, which had its season finale this year, for its entire 7-season run.
