On Killjoys Season 4 Episode 1, “The Warrior Princess Bride,” Khlyen tells Dutch a story, a story about a case Johnny and Dutch took back before they were Killjoys.
Khlyen: When the nights were long and the days were deep, there lived a lovely, lonely warrior and the thief who was about to save us all.
That’s right, “The Warrior Princess Bride” flashes back to the early days of Dutch and Johnny, shortly after they first met. We get to spend some time with Dutch and Johnny when they were still figuring out their partnership and getting to know one another.
It’s the best story Khlyen has ever told.

Episode description: As a woman named Aneela and her father Khlyen flee from the notorious Lady, they find themselves stranded in the mysterious greenspace as they strive to keep their adversary off their trail and nurse a wounded Dutch back to health.
