Preview — Reverie Season 1 Episode 2: Bond. Jane Bond.
It’s difficult to judge a series on its pilot. First episodes have to cram so many things in — from introductions to exposition to basic world building facts. It’s usually the episodes which follow that allow you to get a better feel for what the show’s really like.
That seems to be the goal of Reverie Season 1 Episode 2, “Bond. Jane Bond.” The second installment of the new NBC procedural/sci-fi drama sounds as though it’s determined to prove that the show can tell different types of stories using its virtual reality format.
This week, rather than an emotional story of loss, it sounds a bit more as though Mara will have to deal with an adrenaline junkie who doesn’t want to give up her virtual life as an action hero.
Episode Synopsis: When a client becomes addicted to a “Jane Bond” adventure, Mara must help her assemble the missing pieces in her life to save her. At the same time, Mara deals with the unanticipated side effects of Reverie.
