The Good Fight: 26 Characters from ‘The Good Wife’ We’d Love to See on the Spinoff

Lists, Pinned
14. Blake Calamar

Blake Calamar (Scott Porter), The Good Wife

Jay and Marissa’s positive investigator-trainee dynamic allows for some exploration of the role of the investigator in a way The Good Wife didn’t. Jay comes across as a good person who is loyal to his employer and aims to do a good job. Blake Calamar is the opposite.

While Blake’s arc with Kalinda didn’t quite work, his rule-breaking criminal investigator is the perfect way to show Marissa what not to do. Marissa’s attitude towards her job reads a bit nonchalant, which will probably change when reality sets in.

There’s also the fact that it’s always nice to see Scott Porter on television.

15. Wendy Scott-Carr

Wendy Scott-Carr (Anika Noni Rose), The Good Wife

Wendy Scott-Carr is a fascinating The Good Wife character because she comes across as a nice crusader for justice, but she always takes it too far. Liking the character is a testament to Anika Noni Rose’s talent.

The Good Wife’s Chicago is a small town, so odds are Wendy knows Adrian or new character, Liz. If she’s still working for the Department of Justice, then that’s a simple reason for her to return. She definitely knows Diane because they’ve gone head-to-head. Honestly, any arc The Good Fight uses to bring back Wendy would surely be compelling.

16. Nancy Crozier

Nancy Crozier (Mamie Gummer), The Good Wife

Of the many recurring lawyers on The Good Wife, Nancy Crozier is one of the most memorable. Many of the attorneys were seasoned veterans, but Nancy’s unique approach made her stand out in spite of her lack of experience.

A rematch with Diane would be interesting to see. Also, Lucca, Maia, and Adrian would be interesting new opponents for Nancy because their reactions to her tactics would be fascinating to see.

17. Jordan Karahalios

Jordan Karahalios (T.R. Knight), The Good Wife

Jordan Karahalios was a short-lived recurring character who butted heads with Eli Gold. Campaign manager Jordan is another character who could work in a different context. Eli was Peter’s partner-in-crime, which didn’t work in Jordan’s favor when he tried to take Eli’s job, but Jordan was a brilliant political strategist.

If The Good Fight intends to explore Colin’s potential political future, then Jordan could be the right one to help do that. T.R. Knight is great and it would be wonderful to see him on television again.

18. Victoria Adler

Victoria Adler (Kate Burton), The Good Wife

Victoria Adler was a friend of Diane’s who was introduced when she suggested Diane become a judge. Things took a sharp term after that. She took Diane’s chance away then Diane returned the favor by stopping Victoria from running for State’s Attorney, making her one of Diane’s few enemies on The Good Wife.

The Good Fight has the makings of an excellent arc. Imagine watching Kate Burton and Christine Baranski go head-to-head. It would be magic.

19. Tammy Linnara

Tammy Linnara (Elizabeth Reaser), The Good Wife

Tammy Linnara was the love interest Will had until he started a romance with Alicia, which is unfortunate for fans of The Good Wife because Elizabeth Reaser is an excellent actress. The character’s relationship with Will ended after she received a promotion and left to cover the Olympics.

If Tammy continued to excel in her career since her last appearance on The Good Wife, then her higher profile could put her in a situation where she needs lawyers. Diane and her firm would take the high profile case.

Also, the chances of wonderful scenes reminiscing about Will with Diane would be high if Tammy appeared.

20. Lemond Bishop

Lemond Bishop (Mike Colter) , The Good Wife

Lemond Bishop was a major complication for the characters of The Good Wife. A drug kingpin whose business was necessary right up until he became the biggest obstacle in the characters’ way. While he ended the series in prison, the next part of Bishop’s story could be on The Good Fight.

Whether it is a return to crime or actually trying to have a life after being a criminal, it will be nice to see Mike Colter play Bishop again.

Diane was the one person who Bishop did not have a lot of contact with. Alicia, Cary, Will, and Kalinda all had personal arcs including Bishop’s business, but Diane was there for all of it. It would be interesting to see the two interact onscreen.
