Young Sheldon Renewed for Second Season at CBS
Another new series is coming back next season!
The CBS freshmen comedy Young Sheldon has been renewed for a second season.
The series follows 9-year-old Sheldon Cooper, played by Iain Armitage, as he attends high school in a fictional Texas town. Viewers watch as Sheldon navigates the world while dealing with his unique intellect and issues socializing with others.

Young Sheldon is a spinoff prequel of popular CBS series The Big Bang Theory, in which Jim Parsons plays Sheldon Cooper.
“Young Sheldon has made a huge impact on our schedule in the short time it’s been on the air,” said Kelly Kahl, President, CBS Entertainment.
“While the show’s DNA is clearly rooted in The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon has staked out its own place in the TV universe with a unique creative tone, brilliant writing and a gifted multi-generational cast. We can’t wait to see Chuck, Steve, Jim and Todd’s vision for how the Cooper family deals with Sheldon growing a year older…and smarter,” Kahl continued.

The new series has done very well, which led to its early pickup after only ten episodes.
Young Sheldon airs Thursdays at 8:30/7:30c on CBS.
