Stranger Things Renewed For Third Season
It’s official! The popular Netflix original series Stranger Things has been renewed for a third season. The streaming service announced the renewal in a Twitter post on Friday morning.
The series, starring Winona Ryder, Finn Wolfhard and Millie Bobby Brown has been both a critical and a commercial success. This year it received 18 Emmy nominations.
Stranger Things is created by The Duffer Brothers, who also serve as executive producers and directors of the series, along with Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen, and Iain Patterson.
The big question about this renewal is — do fans actually want another season of Stranger Things? A Twitter poll conducted by Netflix shows that viewers were split, with only 55% of respondents saying they think the network should renew the series.
