2017 was the year of reunion and growth for Oliver and Felicity.

From rebuilding trust to being more open with each other when it comes to dealing with everything from Helix and Prometheus to William and their relationship, it made their reunion, wedding, and celebration that much sweeter to see as they head into 2018 stronger than ever.

19. Kate and Toby (This Is Us)

When Kate had a devastating miscarriage this year on This Is Us, it would have been understandable for these two to go their separate ways. Instead Toby stood strong by Kate’s side.

Together they gathered the hope to try again in the near future. Nothing says “I love you” like the resistance to give up.

20. Matt Casey and Gabby Dawson (Chicago Fire)

Things haven’t been easy for Casey and Dawson on Chicago Fire, but no matter what happens, they always find their way back to each other. Their relationship has only gotten stronger, and the way they support one another is downright inspiring. We love seeing how far these two have come.

21. Booth and Brennan (Bones)

Speaking of inspiring relationships, Booth and Brennan also make our list of favorite couples for the year. Bones finished its last season by reminding us how much these two mean to one another and how much their relationship has grown over the years. This quote from the series finale pretty much says it all:

Booth: You’re the Roxy to my Tony, you’re the Wanda to my Buck. Who else is going to sing “Hot Blooded” with me, huh? And besides, we’re way better than Mulder and Scully.

Brennan: I don’t know what that means.

Booth: I don’t care if you know about the bones, or if you know how to solve crimes. All I know is that I want to spend the rest of my life with you. This is you. Temperance Brennan. You’re my partner. Don’t forget that.

22. Sheldon and Amy (The Big Bang Theory)

Perhaps no couple is more perfect for one another than Sheldon Cooper and Amy Farrah Fowler. These two understand each other like no one else can, and they’ve put in the hard work necessary to make their relationship last. This year was especially significant, since they took a major step forward and got engaged.

23. Happy and Toby (Scorpion)

These two lovebirds have gotten married (finally!) and survived a disaster of a honeymoon. They are surprisingly obsessed with acronyms, but that’s one of the reasons why we love them so much.

Happy and Toby have proven that they fit well together, and they support each other even when one of them is doing something foolish like dancing in front of a firetruck. Quintis has captured our hearts, and we eagerly await for a baby Quintis to enter the picture.

24. Stevie and Dimitri (Madam Secretary)

It’s always enjoyable to watch two people fall for each other. We’ve gotten to know Stevie and Dmitri separately over the course of Madam Secretary, and so when their paths started to intertwine, our eyes lit up at the sparks.

At first, it seemed like something that would never happen and was just in our minds, but these two kids have slowly started dating.

It’s early in their relationship, and there’s so much they don’t know about each other (like how Stevie thinks Dmitri’s name is Alexander and that he’s a student of her father’s). There’s trouble ahead, that’s for sure, but for now, let’s watch these two fall in love in the shadows.
