American Horror Story: Cult Review: Holes (Season 7 Episode 5)
Lines get crossed, alliances are broken, and secrets are revealed on American Horror Story: Cult Season 7 Episode 5, “Holes.”
It’s no secret that Ally can’t control herself being along without Ivy and Oz. Ivy and Oz are her life, and she isn’t complete without them, but has that changed?

I’m going to assume that Ally does believe Meadow when she spills the beans on the entire plan. I mean, it doesn’t make any sense for Ally not to believe Meadow when she’s witnessed Harrison and Jack making out in the living room and Meadow about to be buried alive.
Now is the time for Ally to make her own plan and fight back against the cult.
I’ve had the suspicion that Ivy and Rudy (Ally’s therapist) are in on the whole thing from the very first episode, but that doesn’t stop the audible gasp I make as it’s revealed that Rudy is actually Kai’s brother.
Ivy, ehh, I don’t care much for her big reveal because the more and more the show has advanced it’s become more apparent. Rudy, however, is a total game changer.
The question now: is Rudy actually helping Kai or is he just connected to the cult by blood relations? For the longest time I was convinced that Rudy was another clown and was just toying with Ally, now I’m not so sure. Does he know that Ivy is helping them torture Ally?
One thing we do know is that Rudy is the one who taught Kai about the pinky promises he makes everyone do in the cult. He’s also the one who makes Kai go along with leaving his parents to rot inside their room.
Kai may be mentally unstable at this moment, but maybe he’s only this way because he had to witness his mother kill herself and then had to help his older brother move their dead bodies. I think that’s a valid reason for someone completely snapping.
As for Winter, I guess that the only reason she’s in on the whole thing is so she’d continue getting their parents money. But, that doesn’t mean that Winter has to actively help Kai murder people and get her hands dirty at the same time.
I’m still convinced that Kai is holding something over Winters’ head and that’s why she didn’t just leave when she had the chance. As long as she keeps her mouth shut, then there’s no reason why Rudy and Kai should have any problem with her not being involved.
As much as Ivy’s little reveal did nothing to me, I’m still fuming at the fact that she’s only helping torture Ally because she voted for Jill Stein. Come on, out of everything you could do your decision is to make her go insane? Too far.

Beverly turns out to be the real go-getter on the team as she’s the one who convinces Kai that RJ would turn on all of them and out them. She’s the one who makes Kai breakdown and reveal his real story to her. Kai. She made KAI breakdown.
It’s obvious that by the end of this season, or sooner, Beverly and Kai are going to go head to head for the power of being in charge of the cult.
American Horror Story: Cult continues to improve week after week, which is why as of right now I think that it’s my second favorite season so far.
Other Thoughts:
- Kai mentions on camera that the government is poisoning the people of the town, but nothing else is mentioned of the creepy, mysterious people spraying the green chemicals all over town. Who are they?
- Is Meadow going to be buried alive? I think a good indication of that answer is the fact that Harrison and Jack lie about her whereabouts to Ivy.
- I hope that Ally gets revenge on every single one of them before the season is over.
