Syfy Renews ‘Killjoys’ for Two Final Seasons

Killjoys, News

Dutch’s fate looks grim heading into Killjoys Season 3 Episode 10, but fear not, this isn’t the end of Killjoys.

Syfy has renewed Killjoys for two additional seasons, totaling 20 episodes. Season 4 is slated to air in 2018, and season 5, which is expected to air in 2019, will serve as Killjoys final season.

The news that a show is ending is never good, but at least we don’t have to live in fear of an abrupt cancellation.

“This renewal is the kind of privilege every creator hopes for — a chance to plan the end of your story with the luxury of 20 episodes to do it,” said Michelle Lovretta, series creator, in a statement. “I’m immensely grateful that both of our network partners — along with Temple Street and UCP — have given our team, cast, and fans this incredible opportunity.”

Bill McGoldrick, EVP of Scripted Development at NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment, described Killjoys Season 3 Episode 10 as a “game-changing” finale that will “set the tone for the final chapters of our bounty hunter’s space adventures.”

I don’t know about you, but I can breathe a little easier knowing that Killjoys will go out on its own terms. Are you excited that Dutch, D’av, and Johnny will be with us for two more ass-kicking seasons? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

Killjoys airs Fridays at 8/7c on Syfy.
