Killjoys Review: Wargasm (Season 3 Episode 10)
On Killjoys Season 3 Episode 10, “Wargasm,” Aneela and Dutch’s showdown goes as expected for a little bit. Then, everything changes.
Can we take a moment to praise Hannah John-Kamen? The fight scene is absolutely phenomenal, and it’s one of those moments where you forget that Aneela and Dutch are played by the same person.
It’s so fascinating to see Dutch and Aneela finally in a room together. Their showdown has been a long time coming, and it doesn’t disappoint. We witness the smack talk and the badass fighting, but then Dutch makes it even more personal by giving Aneela her memories.
Dutch: Those memories are my whole life. What you gave me, and what you are taking from me. My entire existence has been hidden by you, by Khlyen, from the green. If you win today, I disappear. Well I am done with shadows. I am going to kill you now, Aneela, which will end me too. I accept dying, but I was here. I was real, and I mattered, and I will not be forgotten.
Aneela and Dutch joining forces to stop the mysterious lady is an interesting course to take. Of course, it would be nice to know a little bit more about the lady, but we know enough to be intrigued.
All we know is that she’s powerful, old, and trapped in the green. The creepy “rising from the green” spiders and the fact that she controls a lot of the Hullen help show how powerful she is, but it’s a little difficult to fear someone trapped in the green.

We can’t quite grasp her reach; all we know is that she is able to affect the outside world.
Still, this is a damn good cliffhanger. We’re ending with a new enemy identified, and we’ve mixed up all the pairings. Enemies are now allies, which not everyone is happy about.
Dutch and Aneela’s relationship takes on a sort of familiar twist, which will be fun to watch. Aneela being almost motherly is bound to be entertaining.
It also appears as if Khlyen will be around for a bit. This is going to be one weird, “let’s go kill someone,” family vacation in the green. There aren’t any matching shirts, but Khlyen did give Dutch and Aneela matching knives.
D’av: Have you thought about names? How do you feel about apostrophes?
Personally, I cannot wait to see more of D’av, Johnny, and Delle Seyah working together. They make quite an unusual group, and there’s probably going to be so much sass.
D’av and his million baby questions are a nice way to add levity to the finale. Somehow, the Jaqobis boys always find time for sarcasm and really important conversations, even when there’s a war going on.

What’s really great about this final showdown is that everyone has a role and is given proper time to do it. Turin, for instance, does not feel shoved into the war; his purpose is clear. He is the leader while D’av is on his save Dutch mission. The same can be said for Pree and Gander.
This could have easily been chaotic in a bad way. War in itself is chaotic, but there’s a good kind of chaos, and that’s what we see in this particular war. It’s being fought on multiple fronts, and we spend just enough time on every front to get a clear overall view of how this war is going.
All in all, the war is nicely done.
Johnny: John’s right here and ready to go, drama queen. Quit flapping your balls.
D’av: You are in no shape for a mission.
Johnny: I’m in amazing shape. I will wrestle you right now.
D’av: If you cough hard, your lungs will fall out.
