American Horror Story: Cult: Top Moments from “Neighbors From Hell” (Season 7 Episode 3)
Terror strikes in the form of poison gas and microwaved guinea pigs on American Horror Story: Cult Season 7 Episode 3, “Neighbors From Hell.”
“Neighbors From Hell” is enjoyable to me because we’re finally getting to dive a little into what makes the Wilton’s tick.
Here are my top moments from “Neighbors From Hell.”
Ally Taking Charge
It’s exhilarating to watch Ally march her way into the Wilton’s backyard and show them who’s the boss. They’ve been playing mind games with her since they moved in and no matter what they say it’s true.
Ally hitting Harrison is not going too far. Telling them that she would come back and kill the both of them, yeah, that is going too far. Especially since Meadow actually ends up going missing – taken by the killer going around town.
Not only does Ally have to put up with her anxiety and phobias but now she has to put up with people deliberately trying to make her have an episode. I can agree with Ivy that she has gone a little too far by wishing death upon them, but at the same time, you can only push someone so far before they’ve just had enough of it.
The Truth Comes Out
Why is it a thing for people who are married to keep information hidden from their spouse, especially when someone came on to you? That’s where Ally ultimately messed up and Ivy’s reaction to figuring out that Ally kind of cheated with Winter is justifiable.
Had Ally gone to Ivy right after and explained what was going on it would be different; it wouldn’t be a lie and secret from Ivy. It would be out in the open where it should be. Telling your partner the truth and being open is always the best for the long run.
Hopefully, this is enough for Ally and Ivy to push Winter out of their home. That would be best for them and for Oz.
Kai’s Mood Change
It’s no secret that the only reason Kai is remotely nice to Ally is because she killed Pedro and in his eyes he see’s it as her breaking down. That’s why he comforts her and convinces her that it’s not her fault.
I think that Kai telling the angry mob to stop once and them following through is enough proof that he is behind everything happening inside of the town. He is the reason that everyone is losing their minds.
The one on one sessions that Kai has with the folks of the town is how he swindles them in. He makes them think that whatever they’re feeling is automatically the right thing and that anyone who opposes their viewpoints is their enemy. Feeding on their fears and inspiring them to use it to their advantage.
Missing Wilton

If this isn’t some sort of fake distraction to make Ally think that the Wilton’s have nothing to do with the terrorizing, then it’s your standard case of karma.
It’s karma for Harrison telling Kai that he wishes Meadow were dead. You decided to marry your best friend because you couldn’t find someone and now that you’re seeing a detective you change your mind about her? Get out.
It’s no shock at all that Detective Samuels is now hanging around the Wilton’s seeing as how they are racists as well. It doesn’t hurt that Harrison is man candy either.
This is the most hilarious moment throughout the episode; Harrison and Meadow are literally sitting outside of Ally’s door calling her a racist while wearing a sombrero and throwing taco bell coupons at her. Okay, sweetie. That doesn’t make you look racist at all.
Other Thoughts:
- I think that the therapist is somehow involved with the clown attacks. How else would the clowns of known about the victims fear of coffins?
- I sort of don’t like Oz. I could do without him.
- I think there’s a real possibility that Kai is the one who took Meadow if it isn’t a fake disappearance.
