Wynonna Earp Review: Forever Mine Nevermind (Season 2 Episode 9)
On Wynonna Earp Season 2 Episode 9, “Forever Mine Nevermind,” Wynonna and Doc finally sit down for a nice, peaceful dinner to discuss some important matters. Of course a giant, terrifying doll crashes the party; this is Purgatory after all. The heir can’t have one moment of peace.
The doll is beyond creepy even when it is doll-sized. I’m going to have nightmares about it. I just know it.
Wynonna: Sorry, we already have a Dolls.
Aside from the doll attack, it’s so great that Wynonna and Doc sit down, just the two of them, to discuss what to do about their kid and the seal. There’s no one else to weigh in or distract anyone — it’s just Wynonna and Doc. They can’t run from this conversation.
Describing their storyline as amazing doesn’t quite cover it.
Wynonna and Doc do not pull any punches, and as much as their words hurt, they both have some truth to them. Wynonna wants the ring to end her curse, which is a tad selfish, as is Doc refusing to give up his ring because he doesn’t want to be regular human being who grows old.
It’s refreshing to see those two so open and honest with each other. Doc opens up about his childhood, and Doc doesn’t share memories like that every day. We learn a lot about Wynonna and Doc as characters, and also as a couple, in this hour.

Please do not get me started on Doc on one knee, handing Wynonna his wedding ring. It’s too much for me to handle right now.
One thing that I’m really enjoying is watching Wynonna interact with her belly/her child. Giving high fives and bumping people, it’s her way of acknowledging that her child is there.
This pregnancy came as a surprise, and then it quickly sped up, so Wynonna has not had a lot of time to process everything.
She’s still Wynonna, so she views a rattle as a lonely maraca and is startled when Rosita asks her about giving birth, but Wynonna is coming to terms with the tiny human growing inside of her.
She just doesn’t show it like everyone else, and I love that about her. To me, the high five scene is the cutest thing because she’s high-fiving her child, not her belly. She’s bonding with her baby in the most Wynonna way possible, and it’s fantastic.

Now, let’s chat Waysita!
Waverly doesn’t really have a lot of friends, so it’s nice to see her get advice from Rosita. Plus, anyone that saves Waverly’s life is automatically one of my favorite people.
It’s not surprising that Rosita is a revenant. I mean between Doc offering her protection and his insistence that she befriend Wynonna and Waverly, the revenant light was flashing. Then there’s also the fact that Dolls tells Jeremy that Rosita isn’t what she appears.
We have met some nice revenants in the past, but they still always end up meeting peacemaker. If memory serves, we’ve never had a nice one last more than an episode.
It’s about time we met a nice revenant who doesn’t seem to be in any immediate danger of getting sent back to hell. What did you think about the revenant twist? Does it change your opinion of Rosita any?

Stray thoughts
- Tucker is really dead now, right? We can’t do two death fake outs in one episode. It’s too much.
- I’m glad everyone seems to be aware that Mercedes and Beth are the widows. The mystery was going on too long.
- Jeremy and Dolls’ “daddy” conversation is absolutely hilarious.
- Where the hell is Bobo?!?!
