16 Movies To Watch During Hallmark Channel’s Summer Nights
Time goes by so fast, and a glimpse at the calendar proves that we are approaching the final days of summer. Though spending time outside soaking in the last rays of summer sun seems like a good idea, nights in front of the TV always sound good too.
If you are dying to add some sweetness to your summer nights, Hallmark Channel’s Summer Nights, starting on August 5th, we’re here to help you.
Hallmark Channel loves to curate its content seasonally and through the standard Hallmark ingredients of sweetness, picturesque small towns, and love at first sight, Hallmark’s Summer Nights movies are the perfect companion to warm summer nights.
By going through the Hallmark Channel schedule, I put together this list of 16 movies I will definitely be watching as I prepare myself for the fall. If you love sweet romances, small town settings, and dashingly handsome heroes you should definitely join in the fun.
Please note that all the airing times are informed according to the Eastern time zone.
1. A Country Wedding (Saturday, August 5th, 10:30 AM)

Bradley (Jesse Metcalfe), a famous country music star, returns home to Texas just a few weeks before his wedding and runs into Sarah (Autumn Reeser), his high school sweetheart. Time in rural Texas helps Bradley to unwind and to realize that maybe the marriage and the life he is about to enter into is not what he wants after all.
If you are like me and can’t get enough of Jesse Metcalfe you should check out the season 2 premiere of Hallmark Channel original series Cheasapeake Shores on August 6th on the Hallmark Channel at 9/8c.
2. A Taste of Romance (Saturday, August 5th, 11 AM)

Sara (Teri Polo) is a chef with professional training and a tendency to be what some could call a little uptight. When a new restaurant, run by ex-firefighter Gill (James Patrick Stuart), moves next door to Sara’s upscale café an instant competition starts between the two.
When Gill’s daughter Hannah (Bailee Madison) finds her way into Hannah’s heart Gill and Hannah start to get closer.
3. Recipe for Love (Saturday, August 5th, 1 PM)

Continuing with the food-themed romances, Recipe for Love is focused on Lauren (The Flash’s Danielle Panabaker) who gets an assignment to ghostwrite the cook book of a charming and slightly temperamental TV chef Dexter (Shawn Roberts.)
4. Summer Villa (Saturday, August 5th, 7 PM)

Hilarie Burton and Victor Webster star in this romance focused on a romance novelist and a celebrity chef who end up sharing a summer villa in France. After a rocky start, their relationship begins to develop and they realize they might be able to help each other in more ways than one.
Hilarie Burton (Payton from One Tree Hill) is always super charming in these TV movies — even if you’re not interested in the synopsis itself you should watch this just for her.
5. Love at the Shore (Saturday, August 5th, 9 PM, Sunday, August 6th, 7 PM, Saturday, August 12th, 5 PM, Sunday, August 13th, 3 PM)

Love at the Shore is one of the new films that premiere during this year’s Summer Nights movie extravaganza. Jenna (Amanda Righetti) is a novelist and a single mother of two.
With a deadline only weeks away she realizes that she needs to spend her annual beach vacation working. When Lucas (Peter Porter), their neighbor for the summer, shows up, Jenna realizes that reaching her deadline might be much more difficult than she first expected.
6. Ms. Matched (Sunday, August 6th, 11 AM)

Libby (Alexa PenaVega) is a wedding planner determined to make her clients’ fairytale wedding dreams come true. Ben (Shawn Roberts) is an author of ‘Wedding Day Do’s and Don’ts’, a book which encourages couples to spend as little money as possible on their weddings.
While battling over clients at a wedding expo Libby and Ben constantly navigate towards each other despite their differing opinions. Could opposites really attract?
