Wynonna Earp Review: She Ain’t Right (Season 2 Episode 4)
Wynonna Earp Season 2 Episode 4, “She Ain’t Right,” finally brings some resolution to Doll’s story, but the show’s other plots are just heating up.
This episode is off the rails in a good way as the team works together to save both Dolls and Waverly.

RETURN OF THE DOLLS
It was touch and go there for a couple of episodes, but with “She Ain’t Right” it seems as if we’ve actually got Dolls back. Wynonna finds him stashed in the barn where we saw him with Waverly last week and the whole team rushes to figure out the solution to making his medicine.
The effort to save him is a really good way to solidify the addition of Rosita and Jeremy to the team. The two of them working with the core team as well as with each other to save a member of the original squad is the perfect team building exercise.
An overdose and a well-timed use of his ability to literally breathe fire brings us back to what appears to be a relatively stable Dolls. We’ll still need to see him overcome the challenges of maintaining dosage and avoiding being found by black badge.

GOOVERLY TO GOONONNA
Things go sideways when Waverly goes out on her first solo black badge mission. While these bad guys are mostly monster-of-the-week they do give us some information about Waverly while hinting at darker things to come.
This mission is another great example of how much the Earp sisters love each other and how well the work together.
Now that both Nicole and Wynonna, and even Waverly, know something is wrong with her, we’re actually learning a little bit about this goo demon inside her. Waverly loses a hand but somehow the goo demon inside of her can grow it back for her.
We also learn that The Goo has a mind of its own; Waverly can’t remember anything that happens when it takes control and she’s been fighting it tooth and nail. Giving up on fighting Waverly, The Goo jumps into Wynonna in a very twisty kiss. I can’t wait to see where this plot is going!

OTHER THOUGHTS:
- Jeremy is gay! This kid is the most adorable. I already figured he had a bit of a crush on Doc, but it’s lovely to see his sexuality be made textual.
- Something dark is coming and I think it has to do with the Gardener’s. I’m not sure if those ladies in black are the thing that cracked the seal open. But they definitely face snatched the Gardener sisters and are prepared to use Tucker’s pure evilness for something terrible.
- I’m so happy the gang is all back together.
- If The Goo can pass through kisses how come it’s not inside Nicole?
- Waverly’s singing is kind of fantastic!
- The Goo being inside Wynonna makes her unable to hold peacemaker, that can’t be good.
- Doc finally gets a new hat!
