We caught up with Teen Wolf‘s Charlie Carver at San Diego Comic-Con to talk Ethan, his return, and the end of Teen Wolf.

Ethan, the werewolf who Carver plays on the show, has been gone for quite some time. And while he’s not part of the OG crew of the show, he’s become part of the Teen Wolf family.

So like everyone else who came back, it felt like coming home for Carver.

“It’s a lot of work, but it’s like being back in the old days,” Carver said.

A lot of these people have become his family, and they all felt like the right move was to come together and come back to the MTV series for the final ten episodes.

“In terms of the rest of the cast, Tyler, Colton, and everybody who came back, we all talked amongst ourselves. Are you doing it? Are you doing it? Are you doing? Ok, we’re all doing it. We have to go back. So it was a blast.”

Like Jackson, Ethan’s character needed an epic entrance that can only be achieved in slow motion followed by and capture by, what we assume, is a local hunter. The ensuing scene has both Jackson and Ethan chained to a fence while being questioned, doused with water, and electrocuted.

It was a fun, wet, and long day for Carver that he won’t soon forget.

“You forget when you’re watching something, and it’ll be about ten, maybe fifteen takes — from every angle. And every angle there was electricity and cold water involved.”

Teen Wolf’s Linden Ashby on the Returning Cast, Fandom, and Season 6B [Video]

Lyra is a TV and movie enthusiast. It all started on a dark night when she turned on Fox and fell in love with the X-Files. It was all history after that as she got lost in Doctor Who, The Marvel Verse and most recently everything DC. Her love for Doctor Who lead her to study abroad, where she fell into live-tweeting and the lovely explosion of fandom life that Tumblr is. Her main love for the summer (with a mega re-watch happening) is Arrow. When she isn’t sharing her love for TV and movies she’s writing fan-fiction, taking care of her family, and puttering around her kitchen.
