Growing Up McGhee Recap: More Must See Moments (Season 2 Episode 9)
Growing Up McGhee Season 2 Episode 9, “More Must See Moments,” gives viewers a look into the background of how the show is made and which scenes we didn’t get to see on TV.
Mia begins the episode by explaining that this is who she and Ro are now. Growing Up McGhee is their life and making it is what they love to do.
Everything the viewers see is raw and unedited. Viewers see the ups and down, the good and bad. Mia and Ro were never trained on how to raise sextuplets; it’s something that they’ve had to figure out as time went along.
When Mia and Ro found out they were having sextuplets, it was frightening for them because Mia had just lost twins. What would happen now that she was pregnant again? Well, it was scary, but they got through it and now have six beautiful children.
The children are motivation for Mia and Ro. The kids are full of love and like to project it onto other people, especially their parents. If Mia and Ro are having a bad day, the kids can sense something is wrong and try with all of their might to cheer their parents up.
Mia has nothing to complain about. She is happy and content with her life because these six little children are her entire world.
This episode is nothing but joy and laughter.
Onto the moments we didn’t see on TV, the first one is Ro bonding with the boys as he takes them downstairs to his little barbershop to cut their hair. This is a unique bonding experience between each kid with Ro.
Ro is showing the boys how to make homemade meatballs while the girls go downstairs and learn how to do laundry with Mia. Ro believes that teaching the boys how to cook will help them with the ladies later on in life.
Next, a karaoke party! The children get all dressed up in wacky items that you’d usually put on for a photo booth with friends. It’s an entire family affair as they all sing and dance their hearts out.
We know the McGhee’s are a happy family, but being given the opportunity to see these deep moments between them is wonderful.
Now, Mia and the girls are making their very own chocolate pizza. The ‘pizza’ has a cookie crust, melted chocolate sauce, coconut shavings, strawberries spread around, glitter sprinkles, and icing on top.
This episode is one of the best throughout the season, because we get to see more of the McGhee family.
It’s not only entertaining, but it’s sweet and sentimental. It’s a good feeling watching this show and knowing for a fact that they are genuinely happy and loving life.
People love to talk about ‘relationship goals,’ but Mia and Ro are real goals. Their type of relationship is something that everyone should strive to have. Having six kids isn’t something that I’d want, but a relationship full of love, laughter, and fun like Mia and Ro’s is something that I hope to have one day.
The both of them set a fantastic example for everyone watching. This is what a happy, healthy relationship looks like.
