Teen Wolf 6A Finale Review: Riders on the Storm (Season 6 Episode 10)
Teen Wolf’s “Riders on the Storm,” Season 6 Episode 10, feels like a love letter to the fans, to the cast, and to all the characters of this hit MTV series.
Everything is perfect. From the reunions, to the sacrifices, hell even to Theo returning to help the pack. There’s nothing I would change.
First off, the reunions. Every single one is more riveting and heart wrenching that the last.
The Sheriff reunites with Stiles and jumps into protective/caring father mode like not even a day has passed since he lost him. There’s no hesitation then or when he has to lay the ghost of his dead wife to rest. Stiles is his son and Noah has his priorities in line.
Then there’s Scott and Stiles, the core of this show.
It doesn’t matter that Parrish is on the war path or being controlled by a Nazi werewolf, they have to hug. They have to feel each other’s presence and hold on as tightly as they can for fear of the other disappearing in their arms.
Despite being pulled apart multiple times throughout the episode, they find their way back to each other over and over again. More than anyone on this show, these two are soulmates. Brothers in arms who will always have each others back no matter the distance or memory loss via Ghost Rider magic.
While we’re on Sciles (Scott & Stiles), can we pause and talk about that ending?!
This ending is everything I’ve ever wanted from Teen Wolf. No matter what comes next in 6B, we’ll remember that Scott and Stiles adventures in Beacon Hills ends with them driving off into the sunset together in Stiles trusty jeep, as it always should be.
And finally, the reunion between Stiles and Lydia.
Not a moment is wasted when they catch sight of each other. From one breath to another she lets him know the depth of her feelings and they kiss.
This isn’t like their first kiss, where she is desperate to tear him out of a panic attack and comfort him.

This is a kiss of longing, a declaration of sorts, saying that they’ve wasted enough time, and that everything has changed for the better. Neither of them will or can go back from this step forward that they’ve taken.
Distance isn’t going to change Stiles and Lydia either.
For months she believed that he was real. For months he believed that she would remember him. They’ve overcome the impossible and still come out on top.
MIT, George Washington University, and any Pre-FBI program Stiles jumps into won’t deter or change the fact that they love each other. Just like they worked on getting Stiles back, they’ll work on keeping part of each other’s lives.
This goes for everyone on Teen Wolf, in a way.
Stiles is scared of how things will change once high school is over, the entirety of 6A. And things have changed. They’ll continue to do so. But the strength of their pack will always keep them together and guide them for the rest of their lives.
The McCall Pack is more than a high school phase. It’s a family. It’s people that have their back. Their support system no matter what happens in their lives or how great the distance is between them is as they head off to college.

“Riders on the Storm” is ultimately a satisfying conclusion to months of missing and honoring Stiles Stilinski. The writers weren’t pulling our strings or going for a silly plot line for drama’s sake.
Season 6A is a love letter to Teen Wolf but also about honoring the scrawny little kid who dragged Scott into the forest all those years ago and started this all. It’s about how much he’s grown, how much he’s changed all of their lives, and about how no matter what comes next for Teen Wolf, how we’ll always Remember Stiles Stilinski.
Additional Notes:
- Figures that when Stiles returns to the land of the living, he would be reunited with the love of his life. His jeep.
- Absolutely loved scenes with Malia and Lydia. These two trusted and had each other’s back every single step of the way. No cliche lines or scenes were thrown in where Malia felt scorned because she dated Stiles once and now Lydia is the one to pull him through into their world. Their friendship is bigger than that and I’m glad Teen Wolf pushed away from that cliched idea. They both love Stiles and will do anything to get him back.
- I’m loathe to admit it, but Theo is quite likable in this episode. There’s a redemption arc coming for this…man. (Can’t really call him a dastardly villain anymore since he helps save the day.)
- Mr. Douglas and the Ghost Riders defeat feels a little too easy until you think about the months the pack suffered trying to remember what they had lost.
- Malia and Peter need extensive therapy to fix their relationship. God help us all, but there is potential for these two to be a force to be reckoned with.
- Stiles handing over his bat to Mason feels like handing the reigns over to the next generation of Teen Wolf. It’s a show of trust and confident in the youngins of the McCall Pack.
