The Bachelor Recap: A Match Made in Milwaukee (Season 21 Episode 4)
Kicking off the latest episode of The Corrine Show, the ladies of The Bachelor continue to express their concern with Nick and his attraction to Corrine.
They’re worried she will get another rose this week, and can’t help but wonder what that says about Nick’s intentions. If he isn’t turned off by her blatant immaturity, is he ready for an adult relationship himself? As Danielle M. puts it: is he looking for “a woman or a girl?”
Corrine, on the other hand, is heading into tonight’s ceremony with confidence. She even gives her stressed-out competitors a pep talk, assuring them that they all deserve this amazing opportunity to find love. Thanks so much for your kind words, Corrine!

In the end, the women’s worries are confirmed, and Corrine receives the final rose of the night. That means crazy Christen and barely-before-seen Brittany are headed home.
Once these two bid their tearful goodbyes, Nick delivers some exciting news: it’s time to pack up and leave Bachelor Mansion behind. The biggest perk of appearing on The Bachelor — aside from finding epic love, of course — is undoubtedly the opportunity to travel to beautiful cities around the globe, and this week’s destination is no exception!
They’re headed to Nick’s hometown!! That’s right: Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Either producers realized we would need a serious reminder of Nick’s humanity at this point, or he really missed his mommy and daddy. Either way, the disappointment on each woman’s face is obvious.
A Cookie-Cutter Romance
Our visit to Milwaukee begins as Nick sits down with his parents for a serious heart-to-heart. He’s worried about whether he will truly find love this time — a concern that he apparently can’t express enough. (But seriously, we get it).
Fortunately for Nick, his dad serves up some much-needed realness. He doesn’t want to see his son on this television show ever again. And because Nick clearly believes that the only way to meet someone is on Reality TV, this really is his last chance!
The first date of the episode is a one-on-one, and it’s with beautiful business woman Danielle L. They’ll be spending the day just hanging around town, checking out Nick’s old stomping grounds.
Their first stop is a local bakery, where the pair decorate cookies together (as though this is one of Nick’s favorite at-home pastimes).
They end up drawing self-portraits in the icing, creating cute cookie versions of themselves. Naturally, Nick decides to press and rub his cookie into Danielle’s, because even innocent baked goods must turn sexual when Nick Viall’s leading the show.
From there, Nick and Danielle L. head to the public park where Nick lost his virginity — romantic! — but make a pit stop along the way. Amber, an ex-girlfriend Nick dated for “three or four months,” stops them on the street. What are the odds?? They sit down with her, for what might be the most unnecessary and uncomfortable moment of the season to date, before continuing on with their walking tour of Nick’s adolescence.
When it’s time for the evening portion of their date, Danielle changes into a dress with a v so deep there’s no question as to whether she’ll get the rose.
Still, we’re kept waiting while she tells Nick about her childhood and how her parent’s divorce influenced her approach to relationships and commitment in the past.
After the night’s rose is finally offered, Nick whisks his date off to a conveniently nearby Chris Lane concert. Danielle politely pretends to know who Chris Lane is, and they share a dance on stage alongside him. Is this deja vu, or did these two just share an identical moment together on stage at the Backstreet Boys concert? (Answer: They did.)

NICK VIALL, DANIELLE L.
Farm Fresh Feuding
It’s day two in sunny Wisconsin and this time, Rachel, Alexis, Vanessa, Jasmine, Jaimi, Sarah, Whitney, Kristina, Astrid, Taylor, Josephine, Danielle M., and Corinne are headed on a group date to the dairy farm.
They’re dropped off at a barn, where Nick is inside feeding baby cows by the bottle. Aww!! The women are overwhelmed by the cuteness.
Things get messy quick, as the group gets to work doing typical farm tasks. First comes milking the cows, and Nick just can’t seem to get it right. Jaimi, for one, is disappointed. If Nick can’t work an udder, what else can’t he do…?
The most glamorous job of the day is shoveling cow manure. But just as the ladies are about to dig in, Corrine suffers a timely medical emergency. She’s lost circulation in her hands and needs to sit this one out. In reality, it seems she’s just not interested in “shoveling poopy”. Plus, she’s suffering from a majorly distracting — and random –sushi craving.
Later in the night, with the group date rose still on the line, Corrine decides its time to confront the group. She’s been feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable, and wants to know why she has no friends.
Sarah is the first to speak up in response, asking Corrine if she really feels ready to “marry a 36-year-old man.” She doesn’t think Corrine is as mature as the other women in the house and still hasn’t gotten over the time she slept through a rose ceremony.
Corrine is outraged. Of course she can see herself marrying Nick — that’s why she’s still here. And as for sleeping thought the ceremony, she was napping off a serious panic attack. Duh!
Kristina, unfortunately, isn’t buying her excuses. She accuses Corrine of “hiding away.”
And with that, Corrine is ready for war. She refuses to let someone make such strong accusations against her. Still, she isn’t exactly surprised by the hostility. After all, they’re “fighting over a fiancé, not a pickle,” so things were bound to turn ugly.
Bella of the Ball
The third date of the week is another one-on-one, this time with southern belle Raven.
This date, like the last, highlights the town — and the people –Nick grew up with. And that means America’s favorite Viall is back again. That’s right, it’s Nick’s wise-beyond-her-years baby sister, Bella.
First and foremost, Raven and Nick crash Bella’s soccer game, where they join his parents on the sidelines. Nick’s dad attempts to get to know Raven, but her eyes remained glued on the field. Is she avoiding awkward eye contact, or just an avid middle school recreation soccer fan?
In the spirit of this youthful date, Raven, Nick, and Bella head to the local arcade for some post-game fun. Here, Raven and Bella share some alone time getting to know each other while Nick rollerblades alone.
Finally, it’s past Bella’s bedtime, and Nick and Raven have the evening to themselves. Here, Raven confides in Nick about the time she caught her ex cheating and beat him in the head with his mistresses stiletto.
Rather than respond in horror, Nick tells Raven he “appreciates” the ways she surprises him and offers her the rose (perhaps out of fear?). Lucky for him, she accepts without beating him with it.
Cocktails and Controversy
With the Wisconsin weather unfit for a pool party, it’s back to basics for this week’s cocktail party.
Danielle L. is the first to steal Nick away, despite the fact that she already has a rose and is thus safe from being sent home. Taylor is extremely bothered by this, and she shares her frustrations with the women around her.
Tucked away from the others while they chow down on snacks, Corrine and Josephine — who are apparently friends now — begin to bash Taylor. Corrine thinks she’s there for the wrong reasons, while Josephine feels she’s a big fat hypocrite.
When Corrine has finally had enough (to eat), she pulls Taylor aside to tell her how it is. She calls the way Taylor’s been acting “disgusting” and accuses her of talking behind her back.

Taylor responds by telling Corrine that she doesn’t have the “emotional intelligence” for a mature relationship, but pauses when she notices Corrine’s confused reaction.
As Taylor attempts to define “emotional intelligence” for her, Corrine grows outraged. She’s tired of Taylor playing “Miss Proper” and treating her like an idiot!
Will this feud come to a head before the rose ceremony, or are Corrine and Taylor destined for a two-on-one?
