First Look at the New Fox Comedy ‘The Mick’

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia fans will have something new to look forward to this January as Kaitlin Olson is re-teaming with the show’s co-executive producers for the new FOX comedy, The Mick.

Olson stars as Mickey, a hot mess of a woman who is suddenly stuck looking after the children of her estranged sister and billionaire brother-in-law when the couple flees the country to escape federal fraud charges.

Despite being somewhat rough around the edges, Mickey seems up to the task – particularly since it means gaining access to their mansion, cars, swimming pool, and her nephew’s black card.

The trailer features a good sample of Mickey’s unorthodox parenting methods like dosing her rebellious niece with sleep medication and advising her nephew to combat a bully by pulling his pants down and laughing at his “tiny penis.”

The Mick will premiere Sunday, Jan. 1 at 8/7c before moving to its regular time slot on Tuesday, Jan. 3 at 8:30/7:30c on FOX.

The series was created / written by John and David Chernin and stars Kaitlin Olson as Mackenzie aka Mickey, Sofia Black-D’Elia as Sabrina, Thomas Barbusca as Chip, Jack Stanton as Ben, and Carla Jimenez as Alba.
