14 Most Memorable TV Moments from 2016
11. Bates Motel — Norman kills Norma

We all knew where this story was going, right? Even though Bates Motel was always leading to Norman killing his mother, the moment was devastating. Like many other fans, I assumed she would be killed during the final season.
However, the writers killed her off in the penultimate episode of Season 4. While we know Vera Farmiga will still be around in the final season, her presence as Norma will surely be vastly different as she will now only be viewed through the demented eyes of Norman.
12. How to Get Away with Murder — Who’s under the sheet

It was the mystery How to Get Away with Murder fans wanted to know. #WhoIsUnderTheSheet. Well, turns out it was Wes, and he had some nasty looking burns on his body.
Wes’ death will take the show in a new direction as his character was closely tied to Annalise. There’s no telling how his death will affect everyone, but there are certainly more questions than answers surrounding his death right now.
13. This is Us — The show’s true story is revealed

A lot of hype went into the premiere of NBC’s new series, This is Us. Thankfully the hype was well-deserved. The show was promoted to be about different people who’s lives were connected by their birthdays.
Little did we know the pilot episode would throw us a twist that we were watching two different timelines, and the characters were actually related to one another.
There’s the present timeline, and then there are the flashbacks that take us to different time periods in the family’s life.
14. Westworld — Bernard’s identity revealed

On Westworld Season 1 Episode 7, there was a moment that made it clear that nothing in the HBO’s science fiction western was at it seemed.
When the park’s lead programmer, Bernard, was revealed to be a host, being used by Dr. Robert Ford to take out his opposition, casual viewers were shocked. It was one of the first of many big twists that made up the back half of the show’s first season.
