6. Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life — Those last four words

14 Most Memorable TV Moments from 2016 - Part 2

Most Gilmore Girls fans were well-aware of the infamous, mysterious final four words Amy Sherman-Palladino had in mind for the ending. However, it’s unclear if she knew just how divisive those four words would be.

“Mom.”
“Yeah?”
“I’m pregnant.”

Whether your loved or hated the ending, you have to admit those words made the show go out with a bang… or at least a WTF. Maybe we will be gifted with more episodes. If not, we will be left to speculate what happens next for Rory and Lorelai.

14 Most Memorable TV Moments from 2016 - Part 2

The thing about Alex’s coming out story on Supergirl is that it was real. It wasn’t about Maggie, though Maggie inspired her to take a long, hard look at herself.

14 Most Memorable TV Moments from 2016 - Part 2

Who knew a decades old trial could be made fresh again? Well, Ryan Murphy did! The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story proved to be a compelling look back at the trial of the century.

There were many stand-out moments, particularly anything Sarah Paulson did as Marcia Clark. But the scene that stands out just because of the sheer joy is the scene where Marcia Clark and Christopher Darden dance together. It’s the romantic pairing we wish had been, but probably never was.

9. Grey’s Anatomy — Alex beats up DeLuca

14 Most Memorable TV Moments from 2016 - Part 2

Drama is never far away on Grey’s Anatomy, and Alex beating up DeLuca during the Season 12 finale wasn’t exactly how fans wanted to head into summer hiatus. The moment was shocking for sure, but somehow it was more disappointing.

Alex is one of the original characters. We’ve watched him grow into a capable doctor and mature man. However, this act of violent rage sent him down a path of intense consequence during the first half of season 13.

10. Suits — Mike gets out of prison

14 Most Memorable TV Moments from 2016 - Part 2

We were shocked when Mike actually wound up in prison in the first place, and we spent the first part of Season 6 watching a very different show as Mike struggled to adjust to prison life and Harvey fought to find a way to get him out.

There was really nothing quite like the moment when Mike was finally released from prison, able to see his best friend and more importantly, the woman he loves.
