Tell Tale TV’s Top Moments From Nov 6–12
It’s been a tough week for all of us.
But, thankfully, there were some great TV moments that offered us a reprieve, including an alternate United States President showing us what could have been and a sad goodbye to beloved character.
And, oh yeah, Dean Winchester killing Hitler on Supernatural.
Not everything can be listed, but here are the top TV moments from this week in no particular order.
Westworld

As Maeve continues to become more self-aware, she convinces Felix to take her on a tour of the Delos building. Both are silent as Maeve takes in new hosts being created, hosts who have been killed getting hosed down, and even what she thought were her own dreams displayed for everyone to see in a video promoting the park.
Watching Maeve in Westworld discover the workings of “upstairs” is a great scene. It is beautifully acted by Thandie Newton plus seeing the Westworld ad playing in the background, gives us a better look at how Westworld is advertised. The whole scene is a highlight of the episode.
Thandie Newton’s subtle expressions and the music make the unnerving scene one of the most memorable moments of the show so far, and it’s clearly just the beginning of what’s in store for Maeve.
Supernatural

Dean Winchester killed Hitler! Give the man a dozen pies, nay, a million pies!
In a week where love and hate were at the forefront of the media, having Dean Winchester give the biggest villain in history his final “heil,” after being resurrected by Nazi necromancers, was the perfect thing to bring a smile to our faces.
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend
This week, we said goodbye to Greg, and while it was utterly heartbreaking to see one of our favorite characters glide away up that escalator, we couldn’t help but laugh at his final ballad, where he detailed exactly how terrible his relationship with Rebecca was.
Let’s face it; we loved Grebecca with all of our hearts, but it was, indeed, a sh-t show. We’ll miss you, Greg!
Once Upon a Time

In this heavily Snow and Charming-centric episode, much of it feels like a Season 1 call-back. It’s the Evil Queen against her two favorite adversaries, just like old times.
In the flashbacks, we see Snow and Charming’s timeline altered a bit, with them having met earlier than they thought. It’s an interesting retcon.
In present day, the Evil Queen casts yet another sleeping spell, except this time, both Snow and Charming are affected given that they share a heart. When one is awake, the other is asleep. It’s a great twist on the past.
Designated Survivor

After the devastating week we’ve had following the presidential election results, it was nice to fall back on a show that offered an idealistic look at the President of the United States. Not without his flaws, of course, but President Kirkman is a man of integrity, and is clearly trying to do what’s best in a climate of fear and urgency. If only life imitated art in this one.
The Big Bang Theory
Sheldon caught Amy off caught this week when he decided it was time for the two of them to have a baby. Amy wasn’t on board with that idea, which meant we got to see Sheldon’s best seductive moves, including the one above.
Grey’s Anatomy

Grey’s Anatomy broke form this week with a unique episode that gave us the chance to see back story on Richard, Owen, and Stephanie. It also opened up on old wound as it had Meredith remembering what it was like to tell her children that their father had been killed.
Cue the ugly crying, yet again!
Saturday Night Live
And last but not least, Saturday Night Live’s cold open with Kate McKinnon needs no explanation whatsoever.
