On this week’s The Walking Dead, we meet King Ezekiel, the majestic, Tiger-stroking leader of a community called The Kingdom.

Carol, the skeptic, sees through his put-on performance and immediately looks for a way out of this fantasy of a town, but is later met with King Ezekiel’s realness. He drops the pretenses and explains his motives: He does it for the people. Carol appears mostly unmoved, but we’re sensing that an unlikely friendship is in the works.

Just when we thought Jack Pearson couldn’t be more perfect, he proved us wrong on this week’s episode of This is Us, “Career Days.” In one of his best scenes yet, Jack explains to young Randall that it’s okay to be different.

The scene is a wonderful culmination to an episode filled with conflicting emotions. Jack struggles with the idea of Randall being treated differently as well, but in the end concludes that his son’s unique traits ought to be celebrated and embraced, not ignored.

The Young & The Restless

On this week’s The Young & The Restless, Nick learns the truth (or partial-truth) about his son, Christian, being alive. In a huff, he confronts Sharon about her lies and rightfully goes ballistic on her. Although we’re relieved the secret is finally out, when will Chelsea reveal that Nick isn’t actually Christian’s dad after all, but that Adam is?

It’s a small, simple act, but the moment when Janet breaks the eggs sitting in Trey’s cart on Rectify Season 4 Episode 2 is incredibly symbolic. And it shows us a new side of Janet as she slowly begins to break out of her shell. (Oh, and the episode is titled, “Yolk.”)
