Tell Tale TV’s Top Moments From Nov 20–26

Moments of the Week

This week, we’ve got a lot of Gilmore Girls filling our Top Moments list. In addition to scenes from “Winter” and “Spring” of the Netflix revival series, our highlights include a Thanksgiving celebration, and a fiery declaration from a bereaved wife.

Not every moment can be listed, but here are this week’s top moments in no particular order.

Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life

In Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life’s “Winter,” Emily and Lorelei have a blowout fight following Richard’s funeral. Just like old times, the two Gilmore women have a verbal spar right in the kitchen. Insults were spewed, feelings were hurt, and we were gifted with knockout performances by Lauren Graham and Kelly Bishop. What’s terrific about this scene is how it captures the heartbreaking nature of the mother-daughter relationship with all its misunderstandings, regrets, and resentment

The Flash

Caitlin’s speech to Barry in this week’s The Flash. It felt like the she was the audience talking to Barry in that scene.

In this Thanksgiving special, Jack once again fills out hearts with love as he proves what a great father he is. When the car breaks down, ruining Thanksgiving for the family, he relies on his wits to make the night fun and memorable for the kids. The beauty is found in the present day, as Randall and Kevin try to keep Jack’s traditions alive.

Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life

In Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life’s “Spring” we see another great Lorelei and Emily scene, except this time it’s during therapy (which Emily tricked Lorelei into going). One second the two are laughing hysterically at an old memory, complete with Lorelei’s silly impersonations, and in the next, they are rehashing old history with the sting of bitterness. Their complicated relationship in a nutshell.
The Walking Dead

Maggie and Sasha ruled every scene they were in but when Maggie calls herself Maggie Rhee, we know that she is going to be okay. She’s also carrying Glenn’s memory and name with her. It really feels like she’s in charge and there is no stopping her.
Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life

Another great scene in Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life’s “Spring” is when Rory and Paris are invited back to Chilton, which of course leads to Paris making students cry and having a nervous breakdown in the girl’s bathroom after spotting Tristan on campus. It’s an absolutely hilarious scene, and Liza Weil absolutely shines in it. She’s still the Paris that we know and adore.
Timeless

Rufus shines in “Stranded,” as he we are reminded of his integral role in the show and within the group. We learn more about his character this week and see new development between him and Jiya. Even though Rufus works well as comic relief, its nice that the writers are continuing to flesh him out more.
