UnREAL Review: Guerilla (Season 2 Episode 3)
UnREAL’s “Guerilla” paints a sexist picture, proving that if you want to get ahead on a show like Everlasting, you must be at least 5’11”, have bucket loads of money, and a penis. Unfortunately Quinn is 5’6” and has a vagina. (We’re not sure about the money bit yet.)
The penis car Gary is giving away after successfully filming an episode of Everlasting belongs to Quinn. It doesn’t matter what her boss says or that Coleman is probably driving it around and waiting for his “balls to drop.”
The ones who do the hard work deserve the reward, not the ones who sit and observe, while mooning over Rachel and offering trust funds like they’re a giant Pez dispenser of money.
Quinn tries so hard to prove that she’s just one of the guys with her brazen attitude, vulgar language, crotch grabbing, and willingness to tear someone down to get the ratings Gary, the penis car giver, wants.

And each time she gets shot down because her boss never really promoted her.
In Gary’s eyes, it’s easier to make everyone believe he feels Quinn is a scorned woman who let her relationship with Chet steer her away from making great television. Rachel coming to him is just another reason to keep her down and out of his hair.
The truth is that Gary is scared of what Quinn could do if she ever tastes true power. He’s afraid of what will happen to him once she shows everyone how much ratings and money she can bring in without him to take the credit or act as the front man.
He’s terrified of letting Quinn go and allowing her to make it big somewhere else. That’s why Coleman is there. And that’s why he continues to let Chet remain on the Everlasting team.
It’s a distraction technique, meant to keep the cash cow in house without letting her roam free in the field, eating and doing whatever the hell she wants.

Newsflash, Gary. Quinn is going to burn Everlasting to the ground if that’s what she has to do to roam free and eat that delicious Primetime TV grass over there in the sunshine, while drinking champagne. And it’s not because she’s throwing a tantrum, has been betrayed by her friend, or she’s on her lady week.
Quinn is sick of being treated like she’s less because she has a uterus and the cutest bob you’ve ever seen, to match those killer cheekbones.
It’s time for Quinn to stop watering herself down for the benefit of men that can’t handle her at 100 proof. *cough* Chet, Gary, Coleman. It’s time to show them what a real woman looks like.
