(Be warned that you’ll find some spoilers below.)

Favorite New Comedy: Crazy Ex-Girlfriend

  • Part musical, part dark humor, and 100% unique, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is the smart, laugh-out-loud comedy you never realized your life was lacking. Rebecca may have raised a few eyebrows when she followed her ex, Josh Chan, across the country after a chance meeting (and a nervous breakdown), but she easily won us over as she schemed and plotted to earn his love once again.

Runner-up: Fuller House

  • There’s nothing like a healthy dose of nostalgia to make a TV viewer happy. Fuller House on Netflix gave us everything we could have wanted in a revival of this 90s favorite. We’re ready for Season 2!

Favorite New Drama: Quantico

  • Take a bunch of attractive people, throw them into a college type situation, and add in a terrorist plot rife with mysteries and cover ups. I mean is there any wonder why Quantico was such a success?

Runner-up: Mr. Robot

  • Being a cybersecurity expert by morning and a hactivist by night is no easy feat for Elliot Alderson. Add on the fact that he can’t trust his own eyes, or the people around him, and you’ve got a recipe for disaster. This engaging mystery is a slow burn that leaves you wondering what’s really going on behind board room doors and on the Internet that we love so dearly.

Favorite New Sci-fi or Fantasy Series: Wynonna Earp

  • Even though the first season isn’t even over yet, Wynonna Earp has won our hearts with its sarcastic quips, strong female characters, and general badassery. The show centers around two sisters who are fighting for justice for their father and sister and to break a curse that has plagued their family for decades. Enemies of the heir, beware.

Runner-up: Supergirl

  • We all want heroes. We especially want heroes who look like us, even if they have powers we could never imagine. And Supergirl might not be us, but Kara Danvers is.

Outstanding Comedy Series: The Big Bang Theory

  • Everyone’s a geek these days, and The Big Bang Theory is the comedy for geeks. And regular people. Well, actually, The Big Bang Theory is a comedy for everyone.

Runner-up: Jane the Virgin

  • After a gyno visit goes terribly wrong, Jane Villanueva finds herself in a real life telenovela when she discovers she’s been artificially inseminated…and she’s still a virgin! Jane the Virgin has all the shocking twists and turns of a soap opera mixed with quirky comedy, a love triangle that will leave you swooning, and realistic stories about being a first-time mom.

Outstanding Drama Series: Castle

  • What’s not to love about a quirky crime procedural featuring Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic? Fans are still incredibly passionate about the recently canceled series, which lasted eight seasons.

Runner-up: Orange is the New Black

  • The Netflix original series based on the book of the same name offers a balance of dark drama, important issues, and comedy. It’s basically the perfect series to binge every summer.

Outstanding Sci-fi or Fantasy Series: Outlander

  • Sing me a song of a lass that is smart and determined and apparently very good at this time travel thing. Oh, and a lass with two husbands too. What a complicated life Claire Fraser lives, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. We’d also go back in time for a chance to meet Jamie.

Runner-up: The 100

  • When the world is unpredictable and cruel, how far are you willing to go to survive? We hope we’re never in the situation Clarke, Bellamy, Octavia, Raven and the rest of The 100 find themselves in, but we’ll gladly watch them try to make it through.

Outstanding Reality Series: Lip Sync Battle

  • This reality competition series hosted by LL Cool J is a favorite for obvious reasons. It’s just too much fun watching our favorite celebrities try to offer their best lip sync performances.

Runner-up: Dancing with the Stars

  • Also a reality competition series involving our favorite celebrities, this is a reality show that has a lot of heart. It’s both entertaining and inspiring to watch these celebs push themselves to learn something new each week.
