7 Worst Wigs on TV | Tell-Tale TV - Part 2

When Bad Wigs Happen To Beautiful People on TV

Arrow, iZombie, Jane the Virgin, Lists, Once Upon a Time, The Blacklist

Every ill-conceived wig on TV gives me cause for pause. Let’s take a look at some of the worst offenders in recent times.

The first image in each item of the list is the actor in his/her natural, singularly attractive state. The second image is what happens when bad wigs happen to beautiful people.

5. Julianna MarguliesThe Good Wife

Julianna first came to prominence on NBC’s ER. The curls were her trademark look — they were enviable and framed her face beautifully. Then she disappeared for a while and came back to network TV in The Good Wife.

She was the wronged wife, who put her career on hold for her family and was trying to find her way back into the workforce. Maybe the creators decided that as a disillusioned housewife, Alicia could not possibly have access to a good hairdresser. The wig was a travesty and stripped Julianna of her natural beauty. Over the course of show, they have allowed her character better access to styling products, but I still miss her natural curly hair.

6. Rose McIveriZombie

Rose McIver’s (Liv Moore) life on iZombie is irredeemably turned upside down when she becomes a zombie. She loses everything — her family, family, fiancé, even her career. And if that isn’t enough to suck the remaining life out of a person, she loses her zombie boyfriend too. I get that she can’t muster up the interest to fix her hair.

But all the zombies on the show have a handle on their hair, why can’t Liv? Even when Liv was in a slightly happier frame of mind with her reconciliation with Major, her hair did not benefit from it. Give the girl some shampoo and a flat iron already, she’s deserves it!

7. Ginnifer GoodwinOnce Upon a Time

Ginnifer’s role on Once Upon a Time was always going to be a challenge since she played two characters, Snow White in the past and Mary Margaret in the present. While her own hairstyle served her well as Mary Margaret, she needed a wig as Snow White, and it’s fair to say that the hair department failed her.

The ragged long hair of Season 1 didn’t do her any favors. Fortunately, the show did manage to up its wig game over the course of the next few seasons, but it still leaves much to be desired.

  • I am watching I zombie(for now) streaming of course, and I dont even care if it’s a good or bad look, rather that it is always exactly the same. It becomes more and more distracting and screams same exact stupid wig the more I watch it. Aside from that, surprisingly entertaining for as bad as the plotting usually is. But I have never been more aware someone was wearing a wig.
