Our 13 Favorite Veronica Mars Guest Stars
From gossip girls to citizens of Pawnee, here are our thirteen favorite Veronica Mars guest spots, in no particular order.
3-4. Alyson Hannigan as Trina Echolls (Season 1 Episode 15 “Ruskie Business”) and Charisma Carpenter as Kendall Casablancas (Season 2 Episode 1 “Normal is the Watchword”)
These two Buffy the Vampire Slayer alums each appeared as rather unlikeable characters, several years after the show that had made each of them famous had ended. Hannigan’s Trina Echolls was Logan’s self-involved half-sister and Carpenter’s Kendall Casablancas was Dick and Beaver’s gold-digging stepmother. The two actually meet briefly when Logan introduces them in the one episode in which they overlap: season two’s “My Mother, the Fiend.”
2. Krysten Ritter as Gia Goodman (Season 2, Episode 2 “Normal is the Watchword”)
Long before Ritter became a household name thanks to her incredible starring role in the Netflix hit Jessica Jones, she had a recurring role as Gia Goodman, daughter professional baseball team owner Woody Goodman, in the second season of the series.
1. Max Greenfield as Leo D’Amato (Season 1, Episode 11 “Silence of the Lamb”)
Schmidt, is that you? Greenfield’s role as Deputy Leo came years before his starring role as Schmidt, one of Zooey Deschanel’s several roommates on New Girl, and the two characters could not be more opposite. Soft-spoken and kind Deputy Leo had a romantic relationship with Veronica before Veronica realized she had feelings for Logan. We don’t think brash, loud Schmidt would have handled that situation quite as well as Leo did.
