CW Spring Lineup Switcharoo! The 100 and The Vampire Diaries Get New Nights

Some major changes are heading for The CW network in January!

As we reported last week, Legends of Tomorrow will premiere on Thursday, January 21, 2016. TV Line confirmed this afternoon that the new superhero spinoff will take the 8/7c slot, as predicted, and it will be followed by the Season 3 premiere of The 100, everyone’s favorite sci-fi survivalist show.

Thursdays just got a whole lot more awesome!

The two shows make a fitting pair, since both are more science-fiction than fantasy, and they both tend to play fast and loose with timelines. Legends of Tomorrow in particular will feature quite a bit of actual time travel!

If you’re wondering where you favorite, vicious vamps are going, you won’t have to look too far. The Vampire Diaries and The Originals are moving just down the street to Friday nights at 8/7c and 9/8c respectively. You can catch their winter premieres January 29, 2016.

As for America’s Next Top Model and Reign, the network’s current Friday crew, this is where it gets wonky! AMNTM will finish out its final season on December 4th, and we’ll say goodbye to Tyra and her beautiful models. Reign will finish out its winter run on Friday, Jan. 22nd and return “later in the season, night and time to be announced.”
