The Grinder Preview: Rob Lowe is Completely Hilarious in New FOX Comedy

It stars Rob Lowe. I mean, if I had nothing else to say about The Grinder, I’d still give it a shot, because, as I said, it starts Rob Lowe.

And I adore Rob Lowe. He’s funny. But, not like regular funny. He’s like bad boy funny, if that makes sense. He’s the guy you laugh with and then think, no, I gotta go for the good guy …except, good guy isn’t nearly as funny. Or handsome.

Because the good guy isn’t Rob Lowe, of course.

And, that is this show in a nutshell. I just did a summary without meaning to. See, Rob Lowe makes me wax poetic.

In The Grinder, the aforementioned Rob Lowe plays an actor who, coincidentally, plays a lawyer on a TV show called — guess what? ‘The Grinder.’ When the show ends, the prodigal son returns to his hometown and decides to join the family law firm, because, obviously, someone who’s played a lawyer on TV for so long already knows everything he needs to know about the law.

Except he really, really doesn’t. But he looks good. He sounds good. That’s driving his brother (who is a real lawyer, degree and everything) up the wall.

Now, tell me that doesn’t sound fun.

And, did I mention it’s Rob Lowe? Because it is Rob Lowe.
