Yellowjackets Season 4 Premiere Date Announced by Paramount+
Yellowjackets‘s fourth and final season has a premiere date.
Yellowjackets Season 4 recently wrapped filming, per several of the stars’ social media posts, and fans won’t have to wait for a new year to see the results.
The survival thriller series returns on Paramount+ on Friday, November 20. A teaser video has also been shared on social media.
It had previously been confirmed that Yellowjackets Season 4 will be the final season. The announcement fittingly stated that “the final reckoning begins.”
Yellowjackets follows a high school girls soccer team — the Wiskayok, New Jersey Yellowjackets — who survive a plane crash and spend 19 months stranded in the Canadian wilderness. While there, the survivors’ experiences convince them that their new wilderness home might have a will of its own.
The series employs two parallel timelines. One is set in the 1990s, as the Yellowjackets descend into cannibalism and occult rituals. The other is set in present day as the survivors reckon with their pasts.
Yellowjackets Season 3 Episode 10, “Full Circle,” ended in the 1990s timeline with Natalie Scatorccio (Sophie Thatcher) using a recovered satellite phone to call for help.
The fourth season will follow the survivors’ rescue, return home, and earliest reintegration into society. The teaser video opens with a audio from in-universe news broadcasts reporting the Yellowjackets have been found alive.
The official synopsis for Yellowjackets Season 4 reads: “As the survivors race to bury their sins before rescue arrives and an old flame roars back into town with plans of her own, turns out not every homecoming is a joyous one, and this one’s going to sting.”
The Yellowjackets cast includes Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci, Tawny Cypress, Sophie Nélisse, Sophie Thatcher, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Samantha Hanratty, Courtney Eaton, Liv Hewson, Kevin Alves, Jenna Burgess, Nia Sondaya, Sarah Desjardins, Warren Kole, and Hilary Swank.
Series creators Ashley Lyle & Bart Nickerson are executive producers and serve as co-showrunners alongside Jonathan Lisco, also an executive producer. The series’ other executive producers include Jeff W. Byrd, Sarah L. Thompson, Ameni Rozsa and Julia Bicknell.
