Star Trek: Discovery fans will be particularly excited for the newest episode of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. We have finally arrived at the episode with a guest appearance from Discovery fan favorite Tilly, played by Mary Wiseman.

Tilly comes to the academy as a visiting instructor. Specifically, she comes to the academy to help the cadets understand the emotional toll of being in Starfleet.
The episode’s preview photos show lots of smiles from the cadets. However, we know they have been through a lot already in their short time at the academy. We also know that many of them have brought some pretty heavy personal baggage with them on this journey.
Couple that with Tilly’s apparently unorthodox methods, and it seems unlikely that the episode will be all sunshine and rainbows.
Tarima doesn’t seem quite as chipper as the other cadets in the preview photos. That, of course, makes sense given what she’s been. Hopefully, Tilly can help her cope with her trauma.
