After a nearly two-month winter break, the series is returning with a juicy scenario that lays the groundwork for future crossover events.
Per Rashad Raisani, 9-1-1: Nashville‘s showrunner, the anonymous hackers descending on the city tie directly back to the attack in Los Angeles on 9-1-1 Season 5 Episode 1, “Panic.”
After all, the episode ends with the people behind the chaos disappearing and never being caught. It’s the perfect opportunity to connect the 9-1-1 universe more coherently.
While Station 113 focuses on the turmoil hitting the streets, Blythe is left alone. Half-conscious, cut up from razor wire, and with no way to contact anyone, she’ll have to fight her way to survival.
Don, though, like the good husband he is, notices Blythe’s prolonged disappearance and springs into action. However, without knowing her exact route and with his hands full of a potential mass-casualty event, it’s unlikely he’ll find her quickly.
