What to Expect from Fire Country Season 4 Episode 9: Who Owns the Dirt

Fire Country, Previews

After weeks of build-up, Fire Country Season 4 Episode 9, “Who Owns the Dirt,” sets up a potential face-to-face for Jake and Malcolm.

Based on the episode description, it looks like Jake’s previous attempts to contact Malcolm are finally bearing fruit. However, it is unfortunately not going to be under good circumstances.

As Station 42 tackles a grueling day of fighting extreme fires during a red flag warning, their rivalry with Drake County reaches a climax. With Malcolm and Elenor both on the rival team, it doesn’t quite set the story for a friendly introduction.

So, while it’s exciting to see more of Jake’s lineage and lore, there’s also some hesitation about what he’s going to find in his search for family.

Meanwhile, Eve must rectify her actions on Fire Country Season 4 Episode 8, “Fresh Start,” and gain the trust of her new crew. If she’s going to be on the front lines with these teens, there has to be some respect among them.
