Crutch: The Neighborhood Spinoff Series Sets Premiere Date on Paramount+
Crutch, the Tracy Morgan-led spinoff series of CBS’ The Neighborhood, will premiere on Paramount+ later this year.
Created by executive producers and showrunner Owen Smith, the CBS Original Comedy will follow Morgan as Francois “Frank” Crutchfield, who goes by “Crutch,” when its eight-episode season premieres on Monday, November 3.
Morgan previously appeared on The Neighborhood Season 4 Episode 17, “Welcome to Bro Money, Bro Problems,” as Calvin’s (Cedric The Entertainer) brother, Curtis. On Crutch, the titular character is Calvin’s cousin.
The character is described as “a brash, yet beloved Harlem shop owner whose world is turned upside down when his highbrow son and free-spirited daughter move back into the family home.”
Crutch also stars Jermaine Fowler, Tony Award winner Kecia Lewis, Adrianna Mitchell, Adrian Martinez, Braxton Paul, and Finn Maloney.
Morgan will also guest star as “Crutch” in an all-new episode of The Neighborhood‘s eighth and final season on the same night as Crutch‘s debut. “Welcome to the Family” airs on Monday, November 3, at 8/7c on CBS Television Network and streams on Paramount+.
“Calvin reaches out to his cousin Crutch to get Malcolm a sweet deal on a new floor. However, Crutch insists on coming to L.A. to oversee the work himself, where he drives Tina (Tichina Arnold) crazy — and reveals an emotional vulnerability,” per the episode’s logline.

The Neighborhood Season 8 premieres on Monday, October 3, at 8/7c on CBS. Alongside Cedric The Entertainer, the series stars Max Greenfield, Beth Behrs, Tichina Arnold, Sheaun McKinney, Marcel Spears, and Skye Townsend.
The broadcast network renewed the comedy series for its final season in March.
“The brilliant cast and creative team at The Neighborhood led by the incomparable Cedric the Entertainer have brought levity, laughter and poignant storylines to Monday nights for seven incredible seasons,” said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, said.
“The Neighborhood is a strong ratings performer for CBS and one of the top comedies on TV. We believe the show’s loyal fans deserve a proper farewell season full of the trademark humor and heartfelt moments that are synonymous with the series,” Reisenbach continued.

Bill Martin, Mike Schiff, Aaron Kaplan, Wendi Trilling, Cedric the Entertainer, and Eric Rhone are executive producers. CBS Studios produces.
Crutch hails from Cedric The Entertainer and his production company, A Bird and a Bear Entertainment. Cedric and Eric C. Rhone executive produce the series. Crutch’s additional executive producers include Aaron Kaplan for Kapital Entertainment, Wendi Trilling for TrillTV, Mike Mariano, and Tracy Morgan.
Produced by CBS Studios, the comedy series is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution outside of Paramount+ markets.
