Upload Season 4 Sets Premiere Date on Prime Video

Upload will return for its final season next month!

The sci-fi comedy series will return with its “four-part series finale event” on Monday, August 25, on Prime Video. 

During which “sentient AI rapidly turns evil, threatening to wipe out Lakeview (and the world!). On top of greedy executives, lingering mysteries, plus heartbreak in VR and IRL, our characters are tested like never before. The only way they can get through it all and save humanity from deletion is by teaming up one last time,” per its logline.

The show’s return marks the end of its hiatus, which has lasted over a year. Upload Season 3 Episodes and 7 and 8, “Upload Day / Flesh and Blood,” streamed in November 2023.

Prime Video renewed the series, created by executive producer Greg Daniels, for Season 4 in March 2024. “When I conceived Upload many years ago, I had the story arced out over four seasons, so I am thrilled to make the ending the fans deserve and the characters and creative team have been working towards,” Daniels said.

“Jen Salke and Vernon Sanders have been our Angels and they deserve 5 stars,” Daniels added.

“I’m thrilled to share that Upload will return to Prime Video for a fourth and final installment. We are grateful to Greg and the fantastic team behind the series and while goodbyes are bittersweet, we know that the series will be uploaded to its well-deserved idealistic after-life,” Vernon Sanders, head of television, Amazon MGM Studios, said.

Upload debuted with an eight-episode season in May 2020.

It takes place in a technologically advanced future where death means being “uploaded” to a virtual reality afterlife. The series confronts how that luxury, owned by Horizen, isn’t so luxurious. 

Upload stars Robbie Amell as Nathan, Andy Allo as Nora, Kevin Bigley as Luke, Allegra Edwards as Ingrid, Zainab Johnson as Aleesha, and Owen Daniels as A.I. Guy.

Howard Klein and Maxwell Vivian also executive produce the sci-fy comedy.
