Law & Order and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Renewed at NBC
Law & Order and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit are returning for another season on NBC.
The renewals bring Law & Order to Season 25 and Law & Order: SVU to Season 27. They also come days after the network renewed all three One Chicago shows — Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., and Chicago Med.
This news also coincides with new episodes of both shows. Law & Order Season 24 Episode 21, “Tough Love,” airs tonight at 8/7c on NBC, followed by Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Season 26 Episode 21, “Aperture,” at 9/8c.
NBC reports that, combined, both shows “have reached more than 44 million total viewers across linear and digital platforms this season.” Plus, they are bringing in the best seasons on Peacock in total viewers.
Meanwhile, Deadline exclusively reported earlier this week that Juliana Martinez and Octavio Pisano will not be returning to Law & Order: SVU as series regulars if the show were to be renewed.
Joining the series this season, Martinez plays Detective Kate Silva. Pisano joined Law & Order: SVU in Season 23 as undercover detective Joe Velasco.
Led by Mariska Hargitay as Capt. Olivia Benson, Law & Order: SVU also stars Ice T and Peter Scanavino.
Meanwhile, Law & Order stars Hugh Dancy, Tony Goldwyn, Odelya Halevi, Mehcad Brooks, Reid Scott, and Maura Tierney.
As of reporting, these renewals leave Brilliant Minds, Found, Grosse Pointe Garden Society, The Hunting Party, The Irrational, Lopez vs. Lopez, Night Court, and Suits L.A. still on the bubble.
