The promo video illuminates a bit more about the season’s penultimate episode’s timeline. For example, the description teases that George goes before the parole board, and the promo video reveals that his certificate of parole is approved.
Max and Ricky pick George up outside the jail, where George already has his sights set on what he calls “our other project.” Max appears to be in the dark and much prefers her father to take a beat because he “just got out of prison.”
Wild Cards teases that Max isn’t in the loop about this side project by suggesting that Ricky knows what’s happening. Could “Clouds in My Eyes” finally unveil what Ricky has been doing with the famously off-screen office?
Regardless, the episode appears to feature the long-awaited sequel to George’s team-up with everyone after Wild Cards Season 1 Episode 7, “Con with the Wind.” The promo video teases that Ellis comes to George with a favor, and it seems like that has everything to do with looking into someone named Elena Ramos.
Presumably, she is the key that leads Ellis to the jazz club where Max poses as a singer. While Max may gather intel, the promo video shows Chief Li letting Ellis know that “federal authorities have caught” Daniel’s killer. Will Wild Cards bring Ellis face to face with the character that has evaded custody all season?
