Preview — Wild Cards Season 2 Episode 3: Ellis and Max Team Up to Stop Aliens
Ellis and Max’s investigation takes a sci-fi turn on Wild Cards Season 2 Episode 3, “The Lorne Identity.”
A biomedical engineer, presumably named Edgar “Lorne” Peplow and played by Kris Lemche, comes to Ellis for help. The promo video shows Lorne saying, “People are gonna die unless we stop them.”
Who is the deadly threat that Ellis and, therefore, Max have to stop? Aliens.

The episode description for “The Lorne Identity” characterizes Lorne as a paranoid man with a case of amnesia. As they often do, Ellis and Max are taking two very different approaches to understanding what Lorne may mean by aliens.
Ellis tells Max, “There’s no such thing as aliens, Max,” in the Wild Cards‘s promo video. Without missing a beat, Max responds, “Not with that attitude there aren’t.”
It seems like Max may want to go down the trail of conspiracies, corruption, and secret codes with Lorne, while Ellis prefers to push back against it. Nevertheless, “The Lorne Identity” looks like it will need to be a team effort.
