Preview — Matlock Season 1 Episode 13: Pregame
Alfie meets the team at Jacobson Moore on Matlock Season 1 Episode 13, “Pregame.”
It’s family day at Jacobson Moore, and Matty takes the opportunity to bring Alfie to the office. This is Alfie’s first interaction with anyone at the firm, and he is playing up Matty’s description of him as a grumpy teen by the looks of the promo.
It’s never been clear why Matty felt the need to make part of her cover a difficult relationship with her grandson, but Alfie will have fun with it anyway.
He also tries to do a little snooping of his own. And, it seems not always with his grandmother’s blessing.
As much as Matty might want to keep Alfie on a short leash while he is at the firm, she still has a job to do. She has a new case to work on for Olympia, this time involving a sorority and a class action lawsuit.
Things have been going well between Matty and Olympia. Maybe a little too well. It’s hard to see their increasing trust and budding friendship not leading to a revelation that devastates them both.
Either Matty will learn that she was wrong and that Olympia did have at least some part in the Wellbrexa coverup, or Olympia will find out that everything she knows about Matty is a lie.
The more they bond, and the longer this goes on, the harder it will be when the truth is revealed. It seems like doubling down on those lies by introducing her to a fake version of her grandson will only make the fallout worse.
Still, Matty always has a reason for doing what she does. If she is taking the risk of bringing Alfie to the firm, there is some plan behind it.
