High Potential Season 1 Episode 12 Review: Partners
The partnership between Karadec and Morgan is one of the best parts of this ABC dramedy. Therefore, it’s a bit strange to see him with his former partner on High Potential Season 1 Episode 12, “Partners.”
This outing proves that Daniel Sunjata is a chemistry master. We immediately want to know more about Karadec and Ronnie’s former partnership.
Additionally, you get just enough details to envision it. This makes their interactions the most fascinating part of “Partners.”

Ronnie must become a recurring character so that we can see them interact more. Also, we want some more of Karadec’s past stories.
The display of partnership very much fits the title of the episode because not only are Ronnie and Karadec interesting as the main plot, but the subplot with Ludo also adds some exciting layers.
Ludo hasn’t been the most interesting High Potential character. He’s a bit of a dud.
You also can’t really see how Morgan and him ended up together. All romantic tension seems invisible.

That’s why “Partners” is such an important piece for the show. We get to see more of Ludo’s purpose.
He’s a kind man who may have offered Morgan security when she needed it the most.
Their commitment to staying a family even after splitting up explains why they have been so good at burying any lingering feelings, romantic or otherwise.
They’re putting the family first. Now while that may lead to resentment later, it’s nice to see and helps explain Ludo more as a character.

“Partners “does a good job of highlighting the importance of many key High Potential relationships.
They all add something unique to the show. It is these connections that make the series worth watching.
The episode’s ending reconfirms the importance of the Karadec and Morgan relationship to the show.
You can’t help but get a little giddy when he calls her his new partner. It’s a small moment with a big meaning.
Most likely, this ABC dramedy is laying the groundwork to romantically pair Morgan and Karadec eventually. Therefore, little things like this will become major moments in the future.
The idea of a partner could have multiple meanings for them in a few seasons.
“Partners” isn’t the strongest High Potential episode, as that honor currently goes to High Potential Season 1 Episode 11, “Sauna at the End of the Stairs,” but it’s an overall entertaining one that works to explain and highlight the dynamic between various important characters.
Stray Thoughts
- This is the penultimate episode of the season but didn’t feel that way. Morgan’s missing ex is barely addressed.
- Elliot and Morgan’s end moment is precious. He’s really her mini-me, and he looks like he could be Kaitlin Olson’s son.
- Originally, it seems like the series plans to set up a Ludo has some type of illness storyline. Glad they didn’t go that route.
