The influencers, Amy and her wife Cleo are celebrating their marriage and decide to get content for their followers by posing in a wedding dress and tux on the beach.

But what starts as a fun photoshoot turns dangerous when Amy’s dress train gets pulled into the water by the current.

Desperate to save Amy, Cleo rushes into the water, hoping to help her, but ends up getting caught in the current and starts to drown as well. Luckily, the photographer remains onshore and calls for help.

Em springs into action, driving the rescue truck to the scene, while Laka and Will approach on a jet ski. Em goes after Amy while the guys get Cleo to land.

Holding Amy above water, Em gives Laka a chance to dive down and cut the dress free, allowing the team to bring Amy safely to shore, where they successfully revive her.

Meanwhile, in town, Jennings proves he holds people to their promises. Now that Kainalu’s dad is the new mayor, Jennings calls in a favor and hands him a list of requests to strengthen the North Shore team.

His list includes brand-new equipment, a new jet ski, and an additional tower to improve their watch. Seeming to regain a healthy mental state, Jennings reveals to his wife that he’s been struggling mentally and is eager to secure upgrades for the crew because he’s planning on retiring from the North Shore.

On the topic of future plans, Will decides to start a surfing lessons business called “A Touch of Down Under” and recruits Em to help with joint lessons. Despite their complicated history, Em accepts the job and an invitation to Will’s upcoming wedding.

However, after a successful lesson, Will awkwardly revokes Em’s wedding invite when his fiancée reveals she’s uncomfortable with Em attending due to their past relationship. Understandably, Will’s fiancée finds it too awkward to have Em there on such a special day.

The collision leaves Darren with a broken rib piercing through the skin and a collapsed lung. Laka and Kainalu quickly stabilize his neck and bandage the wound while Hina calls for an ambulance.

When the ambulance arrives and loads Darren onto the stretcher, Laka finally earns a date with Jenn, the medic he’s been pursuing all season.

Once again, despite all the drama on North Shore Beach, the team manages to keep everyone alive for another day.
