Preview — Superman & Lois Season 4 Episodes 1 and 2: The Final Season’s Two-Hour Premiere Event

After a long hiatus, Superman & Lois is back with its fourth and final season.

Superman & Lois Season 4 Episodes 1 and 2, “The End & the Beginning / A World Without,” is a two-hour premiere event on Monday, October 7, beginning at 8/7c on The CW. It’s worth noting that the date is a week earlier than the final season’s previously announced premiere date. 

“The End & the Beginning” seemingly picks up directly after Superman & Lois Season 3 Episode 13, “What Kills You Only Makes You Stronger,” which aired in June 2023. The episode finds Superman locked in his brutal battle with Luthor’s monster, Bizarro Doomsday. 

Meanwhile, back on the ground in Smallville, Lois, Jonathan, and Jordan work together to save General Sam Lane. Where did Superman & Lois‘s Season 3 finale leave Sam so he desperately needs help? When Sam finally decides to date again, his date turns out to be one of Lex’s people, who kidnaps Sam.

While all of that is very much in the moment, the photos for “The End & the Beginning” tease that the first of the two-hour premiere will also look back at the past. It seems Lex pays Lois a visit at the Daily Planet, but it’s challenging to discern what the meeting could be about from a single photo.

“A World Without” welcomes Emmanuelle Chriqui and Inde Navarrette as Lana and Sarah, respectively, back to Superman & Lois. The mother-daughter duo joins the fight against Lex, who has set a plan in motion in Smallville. The photos tease that Yvonne Chapman’s Amanda McCoy may be a critical player in that.
