Chicago Med Season 10 Episode 2 Review: Bite Your Tongue
As viewers, we could quickly tell from the premiere, but Chicago Med Season 10 Episode 2, “Bite Your Tongue,” reinforces the issues between Archer and Lenox as they run the ED.
Archer joins the long list of doctors who wonder what Goodwin is doing or are mad at her for her decisions. As exciting as it can be to see new doctors, the harsh reality of the hospital is that many employees are losing their jobs.
Maggie and Doris represent both sides of the audience’s feelings on this. Maggie is sad to watch so many coworkers leave, while Doris is excited about the new blood.

While Lenox wants to work together and sends Archer a late-night memo about her plans, he decides to split the ED in half, each handling one part.
Hand-in-hand with Archer’s past and how he avoids things he disagrees with, he adds Lenox to a list of things to avoid. It seems as if the ED has turned into Archer versus Lenox.
The separation of cases and who is the boss of each cause contradictions in what to do. But it also puts doctors in a complicated spot. Who should they go to for advice?
Naomi is the first one to work with both, and we see the different approaches. Lenox pushes her to be confident and gives her advice from one female doctor to another. Meanwhile, Archer puts pressure on her to prioritize one patient over the other.
However, it is because of Naomi that they realize they need to work together. They would have never found a cure if she hadn’t been working on both of their cases.
They must work together to deliver good patient care. It’ll be interesting to see Archer give in to some of Lenox’s ideas.

Chicago Med Season 10 Episode 2, “Bite Your Tongue,” shows that Lenox and Archer can see eye-to-eye when they want to. It is perfect that they do so when defending a boundary-pushing doctor.
Even though we’re used to (and tired of) doctors who push boundaries (at times for no reason), Frost asks for permission before doing so. It is because of this that Archer doesn’t hesitate to defend him when he gets in trouble.
Truthfully, as viewers, we must side with Frost on this occasion. There were times when these kinds of doctors became annoying. Zola is the best example of that, and that’s why her exit didn’t hurt.
But Frost advocates for his patients compassionately. Instead of simply breaking the rules, he does what will bring his patient the most clarity in the situation.
In the end, his patient does what the parents want. But Frost understands his decision because he has a conversation with the patient.
Unlike Zola and other rebel doctors, Frost takes the time to listen to his patients beyond what medicine is telling him.

Raise your hand if you feel personally victimized by Ripley’s story. Since he joined Chicago Med, it’s felt like we’ve been going in circles: he’s good, he’s bad, and back and forth between the two.
It’s also become tiring to have storylines in which the doctors are about to jeopardize their careers. We had enough of that with Halstead.
Nevertheless, two things must be highlighted.
The first one is when Charles finally admits that he cares about Ripley because he feels that he failed him in the past. This conversation with Goodwin is a step in the right direction and shows how far Ripley has come.
The second is that Ripley is willing to sacrifice everything he’s worked for to keep his friend safe.
This storyline brings trouble to paradise once more as Asher pushes Ripley’s friend to tell the truth. The very new couple has already navigated rough waters before, but now we wonder if they can overcome this.

With Doris mentioning he knows Frost from somewhere she can’t remember and Asher going against Ripley’s wishes, some serious drama is coming to Chicago Med Season 10.
As boring as some storylines can be, the show does a great job of keeping fans on their toes, wondering what could happen next.
Chicago Med Season 10 remains on track to be a good one.
