Resident Alien Renewed for Season 4, Moving to USA Network
Resident Alien has been renewed for Season 4!
TV Line reports that the upcoming season, with an unconfirmed number of episodes, will air on USA Network, marking a move from its original home at SYFY.
Based on Dark Horse Comics, Resident Alien stars Alan Tudyk as Harry Vanderspeigle, a crash-landed alien whose secret mission to kill all humans doesn’t go according to plan when he makes friends in Patience, Colorado.

The sci-fi show debuted its third season with Resident Alien Season 3 Episode 1, “Lone Wolf,” in February 2024 on SYFY.
The eight-episode season sees Harry work “with General McCallister to rid the Earth of the Grey aliens – a task made more difficult when he discovers that the Grey Hybrid Joseph has taken a job in town as the new Deputy,” per the season’s synopsis.
Not to mention, “Joseph isn’t Harry’s only obstacle – Harry struggles to balance business and his personal life when he falls in love for the first time.”
Resident Alien Season 3 Episode 8, “Homecoming,” aired in April 2024. During this, Harry prevents the Grey aliens from destroying the Earth with their Yellowstone plan. However, the Grey aliens capture Harry in the process. Variety reports that Resident Alien‘s third season “averaged a total of 3.3 million viewers.”

Resident Alien‘s move from SYFY to USA Network “comes on the heels of USA reentering the scripted originals space by picking up a straight-to-series order for a reboot of the John Grisham legal drama The Rainmaker, from producers Lionsgate TV and Blumhouse TV,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Alongside Tudyk, Resident Alien stars Linda Hamilton, Enver Gjokaj, Sara Tomko, Alice Wetterlund, Corey Reynolds, Levi Fiehler, Elizabeth Bowen, Meredith Garrettson, and Judah Prehn.
Executive producer Chris Sheridan adapted Resident Alien for TV. Mike Richardson and Keith Goldberg of Dark Horse Entertainment, Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank of Amblin TV, Robert Duncan McNeill, and Nastaran Dibai also executive produce
The series comes from UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with Amblin TV and Dark Horse Entertainment.
