The Equalizer Season 4 Episode 10 Review: Shattered
If everything seemed to be going great for Robyn during The Equalizer Season 4, it all changes on The Equalizer Season 4 Episode 10, “Shattered,” after Mel is kidnapped and Dante takes a job in Los Angeles.
The split second of normalcy that she experiences during her first date with Dante at the police training completely disappears the moment he tells her he is being transferred to LA. Even though she is the only person who can understand, it doesn’t mean it hurts any less.
Now, she has to find a way to return to how things were before they tried to date. Can she do it?

All throughout The Equalizer Season 4, Robyn has been trying to feel normal. She has been eager to feel like a normal person with normal days. She could only do that by dating someone who understood her job.
It works out perfectly with Dante because his line of work is similar to hers, and the two can understand when work gets in between. So, “Shattered” starts out normally with the two training, going for breakfast, and being interrupted by Dante’s captain.
When he tells her he is being transferred, she understands. She pushes him to go to LA, telling him this job would allow him to fix the system they have been fighting all along.
However, after talking with Aunt Vi, Robyn realizes the only reason she told him to go is because she is afraid of what might happen. By the time she actually asks him to stay, Dante tells her he has to take the job.
He explains that he can’t reject it, knowing the task is going after a ring of human traffickers. He must become part of that special task and do his best.
Of course, Robyn understands because that is exactly what she does with the equalizing team. Nevertheless, it still hurts her to say goodbye to the man she cares about when they have just started giving their relationship a chance.

The Equalizer Season 4 Episode 10, “Shattered,” is yet another example of how perfectly well Robyn and Dante work together. They are in sync and understand one another.
Their chemistry at work is great. They know how to have each other’s back without hesitation.
But is the chemistry there for a relationship? The show has made us believe this romantic affair was destined to happen from the beginning. However, it doesn’t feel like it.
It’s nice to see Robyn enjoying herself and dating someone who won’t judge her for always putting her job first. Still, we can’t help but wonder if Dante is the one.
As he leaves New York to move to LA, their relationship will be tested. Can this newfound love survive the distance? Or will Dante’s new job prove to be too much for them?

Dante, however, isn’t the only one leaving Robyn. Mel has decided to step down from equalizing and focus on healing her trauma.
It is completely understandable that after being kidnapped and nearly killed for her actions in Bangladesh, she needs focus on healing. But how can Robyn continue doing her job?
It has become very clear that Robyn can’t equalize without the team. She needs Dante’s connection to the NYPD, Harry’s technological knowledge, and Mel’s experience in the army.
Dante is gone, and Mel is taking a break, so what does this mean for Robyn’s equalizing? The dynamic for The Equalizer Season 5 will be different from the beginning.
As viewers, we definitely want to see Mel taking the time to heal and take care of herself, but that doesn’t mean we won’t miss her being part of the team.
And we can’t help but wonder, if Mel leaves, does that mean Harry will also stop working with Robyn? If so, what will Robyn do?

As expected, M.E.L. turns into a big problem for Harry. Her issues started with Mel by ignoring her commands, using her voice, and locking her out of her car.
But it is Harry who faces the biggest problem with the AI he created on “Shattered.” After Mel accesses the AI, Harry asks M.E.L. to track his wife and Fisk to give the AI permission to access the agency’s database.
However, when Harry mentions he will delete M.E.L. after finding his wife, the AI turns against him and refuses to give him the information he needs. When he claims he was lying before, M.E.L. says he is lying now.
The AI has always stayed ahead of Harry; this time, it backfires. We knew it wouldn’t end well from the beginning, and now M.E.L. is gone.
Harry has proven his skills don’t need an AI, so if he decides to continue working with Robyn, he will do a good job on his own.

As far as season finales go, The Equalizer Season 4 Episode 10, “Shattered,” has everything a finale needs.
There’s romance and drama, danger and action, and the feeling that the show as we know it is ending. With big changes happening all at once, we wonder what will happen when the new season begins.
The only thing that gives us comfort is knowing Delilah won’t be going to military school and will be staying home with Robyn and aunt Vi.
